There's a product called MCCC or Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner that's chrysler's version of the ultimate carbon buildup fighter. At $6 a can, this stuff is one of the best mods you can do to restore the car back to showroom shiny on the inside.

WARNING: This is primarily for cleaning the cylinders, but cleaning the throttle body and intake manifold(s) are side benefits. BUT you have to be careful as an engine can hydrolock if you put too much in that the cylinders try to compress liquid (read the instructions and you'll be fine). BTW, this can be used without removing the manifold, just spray into the throttle body.

I recommend it even if you are removing the manifolds, or plain old "throttle body cleaner" or "brake cleaner" available at any auto parts store will suffice. It is a dirty job though.

What are you saying, that you don't own the detailed $50 maintenance manual for the $20,000 car you bought????!!!!!! That's just wacky.

I just bought one on ebay. Go there and search for "99 Ford CD" or variations of that. You'll find it.:)

If no one else does first, I will provide you some information tomorrow, I don't have the CD here at work, and going by my memory may not be a good idea. ;)

Still, like everyone else said, pick up a CD manual. If you like to work on your engine, it's the best 10 bucks you'll ever spend.

Good info... turns out this stuff is pretty cheap too. Just remember to change your oil after you use it.
