I've kinda been itching to put in one of the in-dash mobile monitor screens. The one that I'm looking at is the Kenwood Kenwood KVT-M700 7" LCD . It does say that it will work with my 99 Cougar. However, I'm a little worried about the clearance above it. In the Cougar the radio is kinda low, and right about it is about a 1 - 2 inch lip where the heating and cooling controls are. I guess what I'm looking for is if anyone has or knows where I can find a picture of what it might look like. Thank you.

Here's a picture of Craig's (Streetconcepts) dash. I think he has an Eclipse unit, but it should work similarly to the kenwood one. You might want to PM him and ask if he had to do anything special to get it to fit.

As far as I know, the eclipse is the only one that clears the knobs... I wanted to get the clarion all in one unit, but I decided not to go thru the hasle of custom fitting it. I could be wrong...

Clarion vrx925vd.. all in one with dvd and 7 inch monitor =(

has to be custom fit, right now we are trying to build a mini fiberglass box for it, for the time being, because it sucks trying to fit it the normal way.

if it tilts, eventually, the motor will wear out, and then u will be out of luck =(

So if you get a unit, make sure it fits, or build custom for it. =)
