Lost in the fifties meet!! Need R.S.V.P!!!

Ok guys here's the scoop! We are going to be the invited guests of a Maryland classic car club called lost in the 50's custom car club. The meet will be held on June 15th with a rain date set for the following week June 22. They asked us to arrive close to 5:00 so that they can park us in the special section up front along Dorsey RD. They have hundreds of cars rolling in and out every night, a DJ spins oldies all night, there is a small hamburger and shake joint open just for the car club on Saturday nights. She said she could handle about 25/30 cougars so I'll need a for sure head count! Don't tell me yes and not show, I have to give her a count by at least Friday night before the meet. If you have done any showing please bring your trophies and some info on whats been modded for your windshield for people to see. Also I will try this week to get us a MD NECO banner made. Please bring lawn chairs and a small cooler with soda if you'd like (no beer) save that for later! Don't forget for those of you who like to party Cancun Cantina is just two blocks up the road for you Guinness people!! (Tim) It usually winds down when it starts to get dark so plan your partying then. I sure hope we can make a good showing guys and gals it should be fun! PM me if you plan on coming! I'll post directions next week!

I think because you are all comming from differant directions the best way to find it is just to use mapquest. From whatever direction you are comming you need to take Rt 97 and get off the dorsey Rd exit towards BWI airport. Continue straight on Dorsey Rd towards Hanover don't turn at aviation Bld. Go past Friendship park (airport viewing area) and turn left on McCormic DR. It is less than 2 miles from Rt 97. On map quest look up McCormic DR off of Dorsey Rd I tried to link it but it kept comming up an error. If you need help PM me. Everyone we need to start an updated cell phone list. PM me so I can do that and give you mine as well.

Well I live only 5 minuites from there so if you all wanted we could meet there at around 4:30, It's a nieghborhood so parking would be spread out up and down my street but it would only be for about a half hour so that would be ok. Let me know if that's what you guys want to do and if it is that 's kool with me.;)

I am so excited about Saturday. I can't wait for everyone to see (and hear :tongue:) my car. The only thing that sucks is I might not have my neons. When they put my car on the lift they crushed my driver side neon tube. I'm supposed to go in after work so they can "look at it" :rolleyes: Front and Passenger side work but I'm not riding around with two tubes out :tongue:

We did a whole lot to our cougar for cougarbash so we have lots to show, and we won a couple of things, one thing being underbody neons, so we might have those on...we are trying to decide if we should keep them or sell them for a different mod for the cougar :biggrin:

So what is the scoop did you guys want to meet here or just drive right in there. At 5:00 there isn't alot of cars there yet (they roll in all night between 6-8) some stay all night and others stay a while and leave but it's always a steady flow. So it's not like we all have to roll in together for a few cars,the biggest crowd is around 6ish. For those of you who want to meet here at my house at 4-4:30 Rachel,Keith and I will be leaving from here so here's my # 410 850-8988 directions are: 695 to exit 8 Nursery RD straight thru light on Hammonds Ferry about 1 mile to Crestwood development on left (two brick pillars just past 295 overpass) Turn left and make immediate left on Cheddington RD go to bottom of hill and it's the newly sided (thank god) parchment white with wine shutters 515 Cheddington Rd house!

If you all don't want to spend a ton on drinks and stuff I would suggest bring a small cooler with drinks and snacks.


P.S. Don't forget your lawn chairs or small folding chairs!!! 4 hrs is a long time to stand! Usually eveyone sits around their cars! Remember no booze on the parking lot!:(

Adam, where are you comming from north of the beltway? take 695 towards Glen burnie stay in left hand lane and take 97South get off the Dorsey Rd exit towards BWI airport and stay straight through light at Aviation BLD. Go about 1 mile to Mccormmic Dr. on the left, you will see the old cars right next to the road.

Sorry Patrick....no chance in hell. In the morning we have to go up to downtown Baltimore and stand in long lines at the MD Vital Statistics office to get me a copy of my birth certificate. And there ain't no way *I'm* driving into Baltimore....I'm a city driving wuss butt. So it will just be Rob's. Only chance of seeing both of our cars together is at the parking lot where we work...hehehe....or at a meet within 10 miles of our respective homes on a nice sunny day. :)

No one's answered my question though (which I blame entirely on Tim and his inexcusable threadjacking!!! :biggrin:) ....is most everyone first meeting at Karen's or going straight to the show?

Well I just phoned Mrs. Evans and told her to expect 15/20 cougs give or take. You all have diections cause I posted them twice you have my phone # too. I won't be getting home Saturday until about 3:30 cause I have to work to support my wild spending habits (my teenagers). But if anybody needs a quick touchup you can use my hose and driveway. I'll bring some spray wax and some detailing rags with me too! Don't forget lawn chairs! I have 2 one for each cheek.Ha! Marianne how about some flyers to hand out as well, I never did get any.
