View Full Version : tools required to replace springs? anyone

does anyone going to tom's this coming sunday have the tools to install roush springs and would like to help me do a set of those that day? i assume wiht someone that knows what they ar edoign we could get it done ina few short hours... anyone have the tools like i believe ball joint seperator and spring compressor is about all you need that is anything special

Ball joint seperator and spring compressor can be rented from your local autozone. All you then need is a pry bar, bfh, and assorted sockets and extensions for the rear. Pretty easy job. Air tools make it so much easier though.

15mm socket
13mm socket
10mm socket
12" worth of socket extensions
13mm wrench
15mm wrench (2001+ only)
17mm wrench (1999-2000 only)
18mm wrench
Alan Key (forget what size, just bring a metric set and you'll have the right size)
Jack
Jackstands
BFH
piece of a 2X4 - about 12" long or so
Spring Compressor (rent from autozone)
oh and whatever tools you need to remove your wheels :)
