Need Info on CD changer for factory head unit

Dear all,
I am considering adding a CD changer to my 99 cougar. I have the factory head unit which comes with the CD changer control. I don't want to buy the Changer from the dealer as they are asking for a rediculous price, CAN$800+. Does anyone knows any aftermarket models that can work with the factory unit. I was told that there are connection kits that could made some aftermaket model works with the factory unit but need more info about them. I do not want to get those FM CD changer as my friend's experience with them are really poor sound quality. I would appreciate if any of you can provide me some info as what to get. Thank you

First, Welcome to the boards.

Second, I don't know of any aftermarket changers that work. But you could ask if someone on here is selling their stock 6CD in dash changer. That would probably be better than having one in your trunk.
