What do these wires do?

The other day I noticed that some wires (http://www.section8comedy.com/images/jpegs/wires.jpg) in my engine bay looked like they'd been gnawed on by a rat or something. Does anyone know what they do? Only one wire looks like it was cut through, the others just are bare. Do I have to take it to a dealer to get it fixed? Or can I just re-wrap it with electrical tape and keep an eye on it?

I could be wrong, but those wires look like they're headed right for your ECU. I'd take a close look at them to make sure they're okay, and wrap them up really well with new electrical tape! You might want to consider putting some heat-shink on them too!
