having trouble with pass. vent

I know that I have to stick 2 screwdrivers in at 5 and 7 o'clock...I know that the screwdrivers go in between the vinal and the vent, but it still won't come out...
can someone help me?

In order to get the pass. vent/def. vent out you have to go up through the glove box..
1. take out glove box

2. take out the cover and disconnect light above glove box.

3. you should be able to now look up and see the vent and def vent.....the def ven is held in by one screw...the pass vent is held in with a screw and clips...you will also have to remove the tubing for the airflow to the vent...that is simple it just pulls off.

for a reminder use a small angle screwdriver and make sure it's magnetic!!

I didn't have to take out the glove box to get the passenger side vent off, I just used the 2 screwdriver method, it popped right out. The passenger side windshield defroster vent is another story...
