Alright guys, i need some advice. Before i drag this dumb **** kid (who swears just because his car has stripes and is manual) thinks he has the fastest car around the neighborhood. His car looks like crap and has more stickers than a "TYPE R Tercel" and "86 Corolla GT". Anyways, he thinks hes a big shot because he beats all the ricers around my block. I think I can take him. His car is stock except for the dual exhaust he got. My car is stock also..what are my chances? If i do lose, I will still probably kick his puny ass for talking ****. His arms are about the size of my penis. ;)

Is his mustang a V6, GT, MT, AT? Details will help.

But in most cases he'll probably be you in a drag.

It also depends if you are an ATX or MTX. Those Mustang 6s were putting out the whopping 150 hp and the GT's were at 215.

Your Coug is ATX, his Stang is MTX... even if it was a V6 I think he could probably beat you. A MTX Cougar can beat a MTX V6 Stang... but not sure about the ATX. And especially not if its a GT

well..i have an ATX..and he has MTX. But it isn't a GT though. I will still probably drag him. If he lose, I'll just have to beat him up ;)

'94 Ford Mustang V6 5-speed: 0-60 9.9, 1/4 mile 17.3. Sounds like a stock ATX Cougar could take one.

that's pitiful.

according to those stats, my dad's 00 ATX Altima GLE can take on a 94 MTX Stang V6

Damn, i didn't know those older Mustangs were that slow. Crazy. I don't know about Mustangs... what kind of V6 engine does a 94 have? 3.0 or 3.8 liter? OHV?

Who won?

I can't speak for the 94, but most of the 80's and early 90's Fords with a V6 used the 232-cubic inch 3.8L V6.. I know my T-bird had like a whopping 130hp or something on that V6.. :) Enough torque to still break my damn engine mounts though. Twice. ;)

I've always felt that way too, but I'm sure people have their reasons.

the only reason i can see is to save on insurance, but then why are you buying that kind of car. im just glad they at least got rid of those 4 cylinders.
