This is hard to explain, but I will try. First my car usually runs great when it is cool out but when it is hot and I try to accelerate fast it really boggs down, and it seems like a loud or deeper sound when I try to accelerate but really nothing happening it does not have the power it used to . Also if I remove the positive battery cable and reset the computer it sees to temperarily fix the problem. I heard bout the fuel pump problems but it does it regardless of how full the tank is. Could bad spark plugs possibly cause this, I have about 58000 mi. on my cat, and I'm sure they are stil the original plugs. I know this isn't a very good descriptuion of my problem but if anyone has any ideas please let me know, it would be appreciated.

If you reset your PCM and it runs ok, then your spark plugs are not the problem. My guess is your getting to know a problem known as "heat soak".. Its basically hot air being sucked into your intake. Hot air does not perform like cold air does.. Its less dense so your not getting as much o2 as you would like (??).. You can do something to check this out... Install your stock intake again and see if the problem goes away.. Im betting it will. If that doesnt do it.. your secondaries may be giving you troubles.. sticking closed in the warm weather.. Try the intake swap first.

Great thanks for the suggestion. I have heard of heat soak , I just wasn't sure what it was, or realize it would be so noticable. Now that I think about it I didn't have this problem before the intake. Well I will be swapping it out tomorrow, and if its the problem I will get rid of the intake. Thanks again,
Steve

You DON'T have to get rid of your intake to cure the problem...just put in the Weapon-R CAB and/or Weapon-R ram air kit. That's what I did with my Injen intake, and not only did it COMPLETELY CURE the heatsoak I was experiencing, it made realy GOOD POWER!
