Disgusting, but it is a clear reminder of how we should not ignore what the laws of physics say can happen to the human body at excessive speed on the freeway.

Thanks now I can leave work early CAUSE I'M GONNA TOSS MY BREAKFAST! (na you warned us) You know what though as many people may say funny things about this. It's truly sad to see a human being torn apart like that. I feel bad for them even though they made a stupid mistake.

That was intense man!!! Feel sorry for the guy though, because of the car he went to pieces!!! Sorry his example is our teacher.. Never aim for the pedestrians at 170 mph My best condolences to their families.:):(

How the heck did these pictures end up online?! Can you imagine being this guy's family and find these online?
Anyway, it is a good reminder about what can happen at excessive speed on the freeway... the first guy got of easy compared to the second guy...
Can you imagine being the rescue worker who had to scrape that off the pavement? :(

Isn't it amazing what enough force can do to a person's body...
The one guy who's still intact was probably the driver...his face and head look as if he was forced through a winshield, and i was looking at his abdominal area, and there's a huge bruise under the ribs, and I assume that's from the steering wheel.
That other mangled guy...well...I cann;t believe hoy his body just bent and curved, and literally exploded...it's kinda gross.
That's why I never drive crazy when I have a passenger in my car, ofr there are many people on the road. I think it'd be worse to get into an accident and live, but kill your best friend (passenger), than to have just been killed yourself...cause it was your fault...
Oh well...Be safe...

OMG that is horrible :( poor guys I feel very bad for their families
after seeing this i made a decision never to race anybody above like 60 with anyone i loved in the car, and the highway races will be a hell of allot more rare from now on.
i felt that allot of morons around here needed to see what happens when you are too stupid for the machine you are operating

wow those pics will make me think before speeding 10 miles over in good conditions!!
Just wanted to say that I think Zero did a really great job of warning us, and although those pics are pretty rough they are a very sobering reminder of why speeding is so dangerous and illegal, and it's good to be reminded of that once in a while; not good that it happened to them so please don't take it that way.

I heard that this took place in Brazil and the guy driving stole the car and hit the pedestrian. Well I talked to my dad last night because he goes to Brazil every once in a while for business, and he said something like this isn't an uncommon thing. They drive little cars all past 100mph on the freeway, and for some stupid reason people try to cross the highway all the time. He said you literally see dead bodies on the side of the road from all the people getting hit and it's like human road kill. This all started to make sense because I couldn't understand why there would be a mangled guy around a guard rail considering most people usually don't walk around highways. Brazil is a Class A sh!t hole and they really need to fix all the poverty problems there.

well, thanks for clearing that up... i too was wondering "wtf...arent guardrails in the MIDDLE of freeways?"
but still... stuff like that is just horrible...

That reminds me of a car wreck victim I had to perform facial reconstruction on. It took me 22 hours. I was exhausted. He drove his corvette into a garbage truck going 104mph. Luckily the family had a recent picture of him.

I didnt take much time reading the print... but I did live in Brazil for 3 years, and no there isn't "human roadkill". People in Brazil actually drive very slowly - speedbumps are mandatory on most streets, and beggers often wander the streets literally making it very difficult to speed. The highways may not have barriers, but it is a third world country. Most people do not have nice cars that can go very fast such as the Ferrari.. (dont take this out of context anyone) and those that do are mostly foreighner (such as from the US) that have been employed and sent there such as my dad. Ok I speak fluent portugease so I'm gonna read it.. and maybe I'll edit this post.

Well the car my dad was being escorted in was going a little over 120mph on the highway in Brazil, and he went that fast about 3 times in a little box car. Although my dad didn't see any bodies on the road (sorry if I made it sound that way) the locals did tell him that that was a common thing because the people cross it all the time.

Sorry to repeat myself, but Im super super curious. Where are the bones??
NorCalCoug
04-22-2002, 05:56 PM
Generally you won't see bones in the viscera of a body rended in that manner. The muscle mass, intestinal matter, organs, blood and other things will hide the 'bones'. Bones aren't really white until they've been cleaned off (and bleached, I believe, right?). In any case, the softer tissues of the body will also swell, which would also hide the bone structure. (Although in the last picture, you can see part of the skullcap lying beside his demolished head.

Yes it is true, if the body is that mangled it is like a bag of skin with crushed up bones.. I remember in my Advance Anatomy class a few semesters ago we got to look at some incidents almost worse than that in real life.. It is very sad of what can happen to the human body..
Who cares someone pass the ketchup please.
Anyone who tries to cross a highway deserves to get hit!

Yes it was in Brazil. It was in Sao Paulo, the third largest city (population) in the world. I actualy lived there for 2 years. Via Dutra, the road in the pic is extremelly busy... the driver was a moron...
Now as for Koochiecougar... DON"T TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU DO NOT KNOW!!! I've seen just as much crap here in the U.S. (and I had the chance to live in San Francisco and Dallas) as I've seen in Brazil.
And maybe Brazil would be a better place by now if our beloved U.S. government din't have set up a dictactorship in Brazil that lasted thru 1980, killing hundreds of thousands of civilians and that dammaged the economy beyond repair. Now, please if you have no knowledge of political history and social sience, then just avoid making aggressive and ignorant comments... this one really offended me.

Well first of all never once have I seen someone cross a highway in Dallas, Los Angeles or anywhere; I think the common bum is smart enough to realize he could die very easily there. And once again, I was telling you guys an explaination of what my dad told me from his visits to Brazil, if he's lying, exaggerating or whatever I'm sorry for that, but his stories seemed to fit in with what happened here. And if I offened anyone by saying stuff about Brazil I'm sorry about that too, but I just got a bad view of it from what I was told.

They may measure speed in Km and your dad could have been doing 120km/h which is 75mph. That sounds like a reasonable mistake.
Koochie also mentioned that his dad was [b[told[/b] by someone that it happens frequently, not that his dad saw a couple hundred dead people rotting on the sidewalk.
Now where is the friggin' ketchup people! ;)
