Need opinions on rim choices.

Take a look at these two pictures, which set do you think looks better?

I was going to wait on getting rims, because the ones I really want do not come gunmetal. I haven't really been in a rush to get new rims, but I need new tires soon, and my rims are just too ugly because of curb rash. But I have the oppertunity to get the XR (ZN) 17" rims at a great price, so I am thinking of going with them. My only problem, I don't know which color sceme to go with. I kind of like the look of the XR rims, with the center of each spoke painted black, and the Cougar head painted red. But after playing with photoshop, I also like the idea of swapping those and going red in the center of the spokes, and black around the cougar head.

Here are two pics....what do you think?

Have you considered going full chrome with the ZN wheels? That's what I'm thinking of doing...I really like them on the 35th anniversary Cougar!

Na, I am not a big fan of chrome. These rims would not be my first choice...but I don't really like any rims out there. I love the Traffiks, but they don't come gunmetal or black. I want to continue the red and black theme, until I get the whole thing painted that is. Then it will be blue and black. But like I said, I need to replace my rims, and I am getting a great deal on these. It's just a matter of chosing a colos sceme.

If that's the way you want to go, I like the idea of going bodycolor with the inserts on the ZN wheels! You COULD always get the ZN wheels and have them POWDERCOATED gunmetal! That would look hot too!

If I had to pick one, I would say black. The red look......."off" or something, personally I dont like the way they look. :)

Count me in for the black ones. The red ones are missing something, not sure what exactly.

from the pic it looks like the red on the wheels is different than the laser red color of ure car. for that reason alone, i would definitely get the black wheels instead.

That is because those pictures are photoshopped. The red will be stock laser red, no matter where I put it. So it will match the car. :)

because ure scheme is one where the color black compliments the laser red, i initially thought black would be the obvious choice. now, because the tires will be black, the red in the rims will correspond with the black tires, instead of black inserts in the rims with black tires.
