yeah, so i'm taking off my engine cover to re~paint it when the socket falls into the fan!!! wtf?!?!? i tried all I could to get it out, now I want to remove the fan cover and see if it is still in there....does anyone know how to do that???

Dude, I looked at it today, and it doesn't SEEM that bad, but there are two nuts that hold the cover on eboth the left and the right sides of the fan, and there are wires that are held on to the cover also, by some push in wire ties. It might take a lot of patience to take it off, but it looks pretty simple. You just have to move some wires around to get to the nuts.

well i haven't heard the clicking noise anymore when my fan turns on...so hopefully it fell out when I was on the highway...lol
