After a little over a year its time to part with my cougar. Its a 2000 Rio Red V6, ATX with 18" Nzo rims, Flowmaster exaust, am/fm/cd player (factory unit), 6 speaker system, power windows, power locks, front and side airbags, with only 21,000 miles on it. Im also going to include the 16" factory rims and tires with it. They only have about 6000 or so miles on them. Im looking to get what the payoff amount is, which at the moment is $15,900. Im gonna be listing it in auto trader in the next few weeks but figured id let FL NECO know about it first. the only thing that needs to get repaired is the trunk, which has 4 holes in it from when I purchased my carbon fiber spoiler. I have a "sticker" over it thats painted the same color as the car and you cant even notice that there is a hole. Besides that, everything else is in great condition. If you or someone you know is interested feel free to email me at Ancientonex@aol.com.

lol 15,9.
I got my 2000 Rio Red ATX with every option, except t/c, has leather, power seats, power everything, in excellent condition with 12,500 miles on it last june for 14,5 and that was from a dealer.
Dont expect that at all.

Thats not a bad deal. Ive seen 2000 cougars online for as high as 17000 stock. Keep in mind ive got 18's and a flowmaster on the cougar. I think 15,900 can happen. At any rate, I cant take any less cause thats the payoff on the car. Theres always a buyer out there. ;)

but are they selling at that price stock?
have you checked kellybluebook.com to check the value, if the person gets a loan the place will only give them what it's worth and then they'll have to come up with the cash down.
also you should post in for sale, there are a couple cougar owners who's cougars were recently totaled who might be interested
Good Luck

Wow, if you've seen used cougars online for 17, then something is definitely wrong. I got my Cougar new for 17. No I don't have an ATX, but that still only would have been 900 more. Mods don't add value to the car, at least nowhere near what you paid for them. You would be by far better off just to sell the rims alone. If you get more than 13, I will be impressed. Our cars depreictae like no others. Looking at Kelly Blue Book, in good condition, which with 4 holes in the back, yours is not, your car is worth 12,7. Good luck.

keep your head up miguel. someone will buy it. always remember my dad's words of wisdom... " there is an ass for every seat":goofy: he had a 1980 toyota pick-up rust bucket that he bought for $1,200, drove it for 10 years and sold it for $1,300! cant beat that!

Im in sales, and I realize that your statement is true. I paid, sticker price, 19,600 on my cougar brand new in 2000. I think for not even a year later, asking 15 for it isnt too bad. Someone will buy it, im not worried, i just wanted to let the NECO folks know,.....thats all. :)
