handbrake slides are awesome
I've used the e-brake to make quick 180 turns a few times before...people look at you like you're in some kind of pursuit :flushed:
but you haven't lived til you've done a RWD power-slide or at least a donut

Try a 4 wheel power slide in an Audi S4...

i found out today my malibu will beat a contour, one of my coworkers has a 99 contour as a company car, it was a GL trim, so whatever engine it had, i blew him away!!

If it's a GL it probably has a 4 banger Zetec.
4 wheel drift in a Nova... do you also call a bald radial, a racing slick?

I'm sorry but the new Malibu's are one of the biggest POS cars I've driven in a while. While my coug was in for surgery (aug accident), I had a new Malibu for about 3 weeks... Here's everything I noted:
It felt slower than the cougar
The seats were uncomfortable, nothing like the buckets in the cougar
the suspension was sloppier than hell, a dump truck might have outcornered it
the steering was soft and unresponsive
They must have clear cut a forest of cheap looking plastic trees to build the interior
Okay enough complaining... On the up note,... uhm well, I guess at very least I know that I will never purchase a Chevrolet Malibu (in their current form). I feel for you having to drive that every day  :)
However, I am mastering the art of sliding the cougar. The other day (in the wet), I got a perfect sideslide, the nose was pointed forward the whole time, while the car slid on a horizontal line (around a 90 degree corner), I'm sure it must have looked cool as hell from outside the car... You know, with the front wheels cranked to the right, very much like every lets-get-the-parking-lot-all-soaking-wet-and-powerslide-our-car commercial you see on TV. I should take the DV camera to a wet parking lot one day and have some fun... :goofy:
