I cant see the difference

I was looking at the wings west body kit for the 2002 cougar and is it just me but I cant see that much of a difference from that one and the original body of the couger. With the exception of the side skirts. I guess I am just blind or something.

Actually I believe the side skirts are the same. The biggest difference is that the front and rear valences are different on the different model year Cougars. The 99-00 Cougars do not have the "vents" in the rear valence, nor do they have the "egg-crate" lower front grill. The foglights are also completely different between the model years. Therefore, the 01-02 Wings West kit is modified to compensate for these differences. Take a closer look and I think you'll see what I'm talking about.

are you talking about just how the 01-02 WW kits change the look of the fromt and back? i just got the front and it is being installed by the end of the month........it adds lines to the front and acually comes out from the front a little bit to give it a small lip, on the sides of the front it adds some depth and comes up to the front.........these are not cheap or thin plastic!! it is really high quallity and thick stuff!! i did have the visteon and it was pretty tough, but the WW are great!!

Oh ok I guess I just needed to have a picture of the stock car and then the kit on it. I am still trying to memorize every detail of my car I have only had it for 3 weeks :-)

:-( I am just having a hard time seeing the diff. Oh well I am sure there is one. I like the open mouth look but it is so hard to find a body lit like that for a 2002. I should have gotten a used cat. I have all this money and I cant really do much to it.

the dragon-z and SW front bumper replacements will work on any of the 99-02 cougars!! if you like those go for it! bear in mind there seems to be a long wait for the SW, but there are some new ones coming out in the next couple of months.......though i have not heard any current news on these........patients grasshopper......;)

Yea it is just burning a hole in my pocket. But all I can get is little things. I mean I was able to get my audio system done but that is about all I can do right now. I have to get the Civic of fmy mind all I did was plan on getting a civic and was finding so many parts for it, then I saw the cougar and fell in love now I cant even do anything to it :-)

man i wish that was my problem:shrug:.........it all depends on how serious you want to get! i can promise you that if there is something you want to do, there is something and someone who will do it for you!! are you looking for just cosmetic, or performance too? if both, there is plenty to do!!! just figure out exactly what you want to do.........

I am looking for both. But I am afraid of voiding my warranty. But I just cant find that much stuff for 2002

Have you checked out www.customcougars.com? That is a REALLY good place to start if you're looking to "hook up" your Cougar and can't seem to find parts! James carries just about EVERYTHING for the Cougar no matter what model year! Trust me...I KNOW what I'm talking about...I HAVE almost every part he sells! Haha!
