Window & lock Button???????????

Has anyone ever changed these so they will glow a different color and if you did, how and how much???

There are Billet Aluminum knobs and buttons...

They are easy to change, search for a how to. As far as price it all depends on what color you want. Blue is the most expensive, while red is the cheapest.

I did mine in blue they are $4.00 for each led while red green yellow are $1.00 each....

Has anyone experimented with changing the green plastic thing on the a/c knobs to make them glow a different color. I want blue ones. I know someone will tell me to change the bulb to yellow so it glows blue.;)

Make sure you get the right bulbs. Radioshack sells many different blue led bulbs. Some are brighter then others. you wouldn't want a really bright one under there, just a nice soft blue or dark blue color. I came across this problem when replacing the LEDs in my computers with blue leds, look much better, but I bought the wrong ones at first and they nearly lit up my room.

contact dynamoben and see if he knows the size it may be a 3mm like all the others or it may be a 4.7... I have thought about doing this but don't have the time to tear into it right now other wise maybe Fett would know

Yea, 3mm is what you want, also called T1.

Clear blue is the better one, the diffused blue is wayyyy too dull.

I know that ORVAC electronics has them, but they are expensive as He!!. $10 somethin'. If you are still interested though, check out orvac.com. They are located in Fullerton, CA.

Yea, Radioshack.com is a pain in the ass to deal with sometimes. I ordered some blue LEDs quite a while ago, and they said that they had them in stock. Turned out to be not true...so I (and the person who's car they are going in) had to wait extra time.

So far both of the orders I have placed with them, ended up being screwed up. There are many other electronic shops on the net, you might want to try one of them.

print it out and take it to your local Radio Shack.. they do sell blue in the stores... they just cost 3 times as much

Thanks crispy you beat me too the link... as far as them selling blue in the stores there site says no and my two stores by my house didn't have them in that size... Why don't I just move to Madison:)
