i have decided to sell my subs i had 2 10 in boston, for now i decided it took up too much room. What i need help with is what everyone recommends changing the factory speakers out with. I am gonna replace all four and i was hoping for some recommendations on what people have/ heard and what sounds the best. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I personally like the sound of the stock speakers. Just add some decent tweeters and you're good to go buddy

If you're looking for bass without adding a sub, then components are the way to go IMO. Get yourself a good pair of 6.5 inch component speakers and it'll sound much better than just about any coaxial speaker. About how much money are you looking to spend? A few brands to keep in mind would be Rockford Fosgate, MB Quart, Infinity, and JL Audio. Just do some research. Go to different stereo shops in your area and listen to all the speakers in your price range to find out which ones you like the most.

If you're looking for some bass without the system i don't think a 3-way speaker is going to help you. Probably just sound the same with a few more mids / highs. Like catman said, i'd go with some components.

I second 9live's motion. I've owned a set for a year and love them. Very smoothe speakers. Only thing else i'd buy would be the MB Quarts or Focals.

I've got a set of infinity kappa 6.5 components and I love them to death.

i had mtx for a while but switched to boston i loved those i will miss em, but mtx has a new componet system out like the mtx 800 or 8000 something and i wanna hear those, so if anyone has that setup lemme know(not the subs, but the componet system)
