I need to change my rotors and pads in the front, my right front rotor is totally destoyed from grinding. I'd even go to Orlando to get this done. I've heard this is a pretty painless process and I don't want to go to a brakeplace to get crewed and pay like 180-200 for this., I will buy the rotors and pads, I just don't have the tools or the setup to get this done. Can anyone help please.

It is really, REALLY easy. Rob (rob8100) and I changed my front pads and rotors on my car the weekend before last and it took just over an hour with the crappy jack that my car came with! and about going elsewhere and having it done for 180-200? maybe if they were only turning the rotors... new rotors and new pads at any respectable place I've been to would cost you more than that. I spent 100 just on parts and I didn't go with slotted or cross-drilled and the likes... ;)

It's not really that I can't do it, more that I don't have the tools or space to jack my car up.

You need to check with Ford and see if you have a recall that hasn't been sent...I have a 2000 and within a few months after buying it, I got 2 recalls in the mail...One was electical cross wiring that could cause a fire and the other was the Brake Pads wearing out really fast and causing brakes to fail in certain instances...They fixed both the problems fro me in about 5 hours, no cost of course...Might want to check it out...May save you some $$$...Unfortunantly I replaced my break pads and rotors first too, before getting the notices...Good Luck.

I would help you put them on at my place but you just need to buy the parts and drive over to tampa (cirtus park area) so we can do it
