I just got my z-fenders installed and painted today and the autobody guy said they had to take off my air ram piece on my car because the fenders would not fit with the piece on. Is this piece important or do my vents on my fender take over the duties of the air ram? Does anybody have the same problem and what did you do about it. Please help me because i need to know that my car is safe without this piece and won't mess any thing up.

That is called the intake resinator. I have had mine off my car for two years now and no problems at all. It serves the purpose to quite the intake more then just the resinator in the stock box. If anything your car will be a tad louder and you will get even more air in there. You have nothing to worry about and many contour guys pull this off and say it adds power..I dunno i just like loud intake and that justified my reason for pullin it off. No worries at all.
