Anyways, can we plan something cool so that people show up? I don't have any ideas, but I'd be willing to roll anywhere within an hour or two (I'm in Woodland Hills) to hang out ---- especially if I got a cool semi-circle picture with 20 other cougars! I'd blow that fscker up to 4'x1' and have it framed in my apt :biggrin:

That makes me SO MAD that SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA can't do that with ALL the members and other cougars we have driving around here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our biggest one was 16 AND THAT WAS ABOUT A YEAR AGO (back when Ryan's car was one color) !

We need to find a CENTRAL point for everyone like maybe around OC in MAY (because April is Fab Ford) !

We use to be the LEADER in all of NECO and we've let other chapters PASS US BYE !

Don't get me wrong. I'm pleased that NECO as a whole is growing, BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO SOCAL !

Some have had accidents or traded in for something else (sometimes typical for our region) but we need to get off our butts and start going and growing again!

I totally agree with you on what you said Maverick. Like I have said before if somehow we could get the northern guys and us southern guys together in one central location we could easily have over 35-40 cougars. Ahhhhh that image would be so cool...........a whole true caravan of Cali cougars :biggrin:

dude i bet 20 bucks if we do have meeting with north ca and socal and blow the other chapters out of the water they will just come back and say that two chapters came together to do that.

I don't even think we'd need to get both the norcal and socal chapters together (I mean that would be fun...), I think that we have over 20-30 people from right around here who would be interested in something like this.

As a side note, in the thread about legal racing (http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=34&threadid=35019); we're talking about heading to the track around April 25th -- they offer thursday night racing for $20ish at the irwindale track...

Both Ryan and Mello do have a point. The other chapters would throw it in our face. Seeing though that we have lots of members in the SoCal chapter we just need to organize a gathering for all or at least a good amount of people to show up. Something that would be fun and interesting, most likely on a Saturday and schedule it ahead of time so people could get the day off. A location where most Socal members wouldn't have to drive so far, I mean most of us are within two or three hours drive time from each other. We all just need to come up with some location to meet and make a day out of it. Seeing as I missed the San Diego meet :( and that one has been the biggest so far. I'd suggest maybe doing one again in San Diego or unless someone else has any other ideas where we could include everyone in SoCal. I know we can do it. :biggrin:

I really wouldn't be concerned with what the other chapters "think" or whatever, we're all doing this for the same reason... If the northern california NECO chapter wants to drive 6-8 hours to hang out with us, then they are (imo) by all means invited.

I think that we have a decent number of people down here, like if only 20% of them showed up we'd have a decent gathering...

I say that we plan something way ahead of time so that everyone can break their previous commitments ;) and attend. I think we're all pretty much within 3 hours of each other -- I'm sorta towards the north boundry (with Ripple and others), you guys in SD are pretty much the southern boundry. That being said, somewhere right in the middle would be the logical place to meet up -- lets get something going... I'd suggest planning it at least a month or two in advance.

I'm open for ideas... Anyone?
