Greetings to all,

We are now 57 days away from the big event!! Believe me when I say, I can
not be anymore excited then what I am now. But most likely, my excitement
will become more uncontrollable when we are in the final week before the
event. The contracts have been signed so all systems are go!!!

I just want to bring everyone up to speed on what is going on. So let's
get to it.

SPECIAL REACTION TIME CONTEST HAS BEEN ADDED FOR F-BODIES AND GTP/REGAL!!!

That's right!! We will be holding a special r/t contest for the above models.
Winner of the F-body r/t contest will receive a $250.00 gift certificate
from Tybrne Motorsports. Winner of the GTP/Regal contest will receive a
set of Intense Motorsport Rocker arms. This should be a good contest to
watch as there will be some serious competition going on. Remember to play
nice!!!

WAX THEM CARS REALLY GOOD, CUZ WE HAVE A SHOW TO PUT ON!!!!

We will be having the Best Show Car Overall award handed out to the individual
that the public / racers feel has the best looking car. Winner of this event
will receive a nice AIS plaque along with a special gift. No NO NO!!! I
will not say it. You will find out on that day.

DRAG RACING UNDERGROUND IN NEGOTIATION TO COME AND FILM THE EVENT!!!

That's right. There is a strong possibility that Drag Racing Underground
will be there with their film crew to video tape some of the happenings
going on at the event. So pucker up, you might be on camera.

VINNY BUDANO VS. JIM HALSEY HEATING UP!!!

At a recent pro mod racers meeting, Vinny Budano recorded a message for
Jim Halsey. It was recorded by Drag Racing Underground's Diana "The Doc"
Thomas. Here is what he had to say
http://www.dragracingunderground.com/id/mp3/budano.mp3

Well needless to say, Jimmy Halsey was not thrill and is recording his own
rebuttal to Vinny's message. This should be a race for the ages.

COULD IT BE?!?! PAT MUSI AND 2001 NMCA CHAMP MARC DANTONI COMING TO THE
AIS?!?!

There is a very strong possibility that this may very well happen. Sources
tell me that it is almost a done deal. Both gentlemen are verifying their
schedules. If they are available, you can add another heated race at the
AIS. Musi and Dantoni well battling it out last year during their race season
with Dantoni taking the title. Mr. Musi has a score to settle and it very
well might happen at the AIS. I will keep you posted.

CARAVANS FOR AIS ARE SHAPING UP!!!

On the AIS site you will find details regarding the AIS Caravans. If you
wish to jump on one, please contact the caravan leaders.

TO PARTY OR NOT TO PARTY, THAT IS THE QUESTION.

We are still searching for a location to hold our pre race party. We will
in fact have a party it is just a matter of where it will be. Once we know,
all of you will know. For certain it will be on April 19th, 2002 @ 8:00pm

This is all for now, and I will post more updates as they become available.

Tony Guevara

I'm going for sure but no racing for me. I haven't been to Cecil County in such a long time. When I was growing up my dad used to drive a race car and we were at a track every weekend.

Hello, just visiting from www.contour.org ! We have about 7~8 SVTs that are going to be racing that day, be sure to keep an eye out for us!

BTW, any NECO members in the Rockville area? A few of us CEGers get together every other Friday for food and drinks at the Stained Glass Pub in Olney. Wouldn't mind meeting a few NECO members.

Thanks,
~Pete
