synchro

Just had my 3rd gear replaced and the synchro and it cost me 1600 loonies.
I have about 80k km on, 99 MTX.
I bought it with 50k km on it and it was a chick driving it so I figured she didn't know
how to drive a manual. But maybe I'm wrong the cougar has a defect from what I heard from all the people.
I hope that's all the repairs otherwise I'm selling the cougar.

Actually I had to have the clutch replaced cause the pressure plate went.
That was at about 65 thousand clicks. Then the 3rd gear problem started to get annoying
but the dealer said the synchro is in another part of the transmission and has
nothing to do with the clutch assembly.
To get the synchro done it took about 2 weeks. I was driving my girlfriend's car
and once I got into the cougar again I though the guy accidently put a supercharger
in it. Man was it ever nice to drive it again, and I have to admit it's a nice nice ride
compared to all the VW's and honda's, (like my girlfriends). I was like woooow... dude sweeeeet....
even though I shelled out like a ....#$@##!

I hope nothing more happens.
