Yay! UPS r0x0rs. ;)

I got my first mod today, right here, sitting next to my desk. It's long, it's stiff, it's a little crooked and has to big round things attached to it.

It's my OMP front strut brace.

And it's.... red? Ah well, I guess it's good I'm not going with the F1 Cups and a 'yellow' scheme.. ;)

Dev, remind me to call you when I get my ov3n/h4ns3n. :)

Actually that IS correct, they just changed the coloring on them like last week I think... and from now on they're all gonna be Red:biggrin:

It looks right to me (though I suppose there are some issues where you have to tighten the bar a bit to get it to fit right?) and there appear to be some clearance issues with the A/C tubing (or the EGR valve if I turn it around the wrong way). But the model number on the sticker is 1753 (Ford Mondeo), but on the OMPUSA.com website, its says 1753 is for the Contour, which I was told would fit the Cougar just fine..?

Yup yup yup and yup.....it'll fit just fine:biggrin:

You obviously didn't do your homework on this mod bro, as you WILL have to slightly bend the AC line to get it to fit right;) JK When you gonna install it?

Not sure when. I did do research, but when I did my search, I realize I forgot to hit the 'select all' for the category to search in, hence I came up with nothing in the 'Audio & Visual' section on the OMP. ;)

I will install when I find a flat place to park. I might do it at work with the help of my coworker, or I might wait for a weekend and make you guys help me. ;) I really want to install the rear STB first, if it ever gets out of the damn UPS warehouse in Illinois.

That sucks.....well you can come install it here in the parking garage tonight;)

How long has it been sitting in the warehouse? and why do you wanna install it first?

NorCalCoug

I'd go install it in the parking garage with ya tonight, except that I lack a drill and a punch. ;) I wanted to install the rear first because to me, the rear needed stiffening before the front did.. but if you have all the necessary tools, I could be persuaded to enlist your help..

My ov3n/h4ns3n has been sitting in a UPS warehouse in Illinois since the 8th, according to the online web-tracking.

I have a drill, bits and a socket set;) All in my dorm room;)

But did you want to paint it another color first?

Nawp, I'm fine with the red. It's going to match my Superleggeras just fine. ;)

SINCE this is turning into a chat, if you're being serious, call me. ;) Otherwise I can wait with no problems. ;)
