The box has a wooden front with a fiberglass back that is molded to fit the sides of the car.

Crispy...where's the paint? Shouldn't your box be painted instead of carpeted? I mean, you are the queen of paint... (as well as the Queen of NECO NorthWest)

OK I'm a chic and I don't know much about speakers. What would be the best brand or type of speakers to put in your car?

Crispy's sub box is actually 2 seperate sealed enclosures, that measure 1 cu ft internal space each, after the displacement of the sub. Now, the system is not super loud, but it was designed to be VERY tight and accurate. on a drum kick, or impact point in a song, you can feel it go right through you, it's nice :). Now if you want loud, pounding bass, you'd need to go a little bigger on the enclosure, and possibly think about porting. Porting will reduce accuracy, but will make it louder. Every sub has different properties, so it's best to look at the manufacturers suggestions on box size. The boxes were made with 3/4" MDF, and were sealed with wood glue and very high quality silicone caulking. Trust me, these boxes are sealed air tight. How do i know all this? Cause I made em, hehe

You're going to get about a thousand answers on this one! As far as my opinion goes... I installed almost every brand out there and most Companies sell speakers that suck and then they sell their better line of speakers which usually cost much more. In my opinion, Infinity kappas are the best for the money! They have a good quality sound that you can find in several more expensive brands! The reference line isn't that good but costs much less. Perfects are much better than kappa, but much more $! Just my $0.02!

I've got the Infinity Perfects in my car (see above post) and i love them. They are very clean. I wanted cleaner as opposed to louder, not that they aren't loud. Anyway, i would recommend them.
