For those of you who care, she is now equipped with the following drivetrain mods:

Quaife Limited Slip Differential
Fidanza 11.5 lbs flywheel
Grizzly Clutch
SVT Front trans mount with Energy Suspension insert
SVT Rear trans mount

I will post a review of all this once the roads dry out... right now i have 0 traction when accellerating in 1st gear

I'm EXTREMEMLY interested in hearing your opinions on the set-up. One thing I've been wondering about is how the throttle hang will react to the lighter rotating mass. I wonder if the TH will be worse because the engine is still trying to tuen the extra 10 lbs, or if the engine will compensate over time. If you could keep your senses open for this and let me know your thoughts, I'd really appreciate it.

Ok.. My review..

The LSD is AMAZING for pulling the car around corners, no doubt about it! Go around a corner, hit the gas, and she just pulls in a line right around the corner, no sliding! even in normal not-hard driving it makes the car feel more planted to the road. I am eager to see how it handles snowy conditions.

The flywheel rules! In neutral the engine revs so fast! The car pulls much harder and faster in first gear. I havent been able to test any launching or racing situations yet, the flywheel must free up some low end torque, because even with the slightest dampness of the roads (i'm talking about not even visible dampness.... foggy conditions will do it even) i just end up spinning the wheels all the way through 1st gear.... It also could be because my front tires are almost bald. Oh... and the flywheel seems to have eliminated most throttle hang!

Nick,

I remember you had taken your car to the drag strip...I am curious to see what your car will run now in the 1/4 mile. I am assuming you have done no mods to increase your HP, just drivetrain mods. It will be good for people to see just how much upgrading your clutch, Flywheel, and differential can help in racing... please keep us posted. How long do you have to wait for the tracks to open up where you are?

Nik -
My 'regular' dragstrip is opening in the beginning of april...
I will be there opening weekend and the weekend after...

The flywheel really helps accelleration in 1st gear..
The only 'problem' with the flywheel is that once, in my driveway, i revved really high in neutral, the revs dropped so quick, the computer responded too slowly and the car died.

I can hold even with a 99 coug thats got i/h/e, svt uim, svt tb, 16" wheels.
I do not have headers, and I have big heavy 17" zn wheels too..
Before this stuff, he would kick my a$$...

Your assumptions are correct, no real engine mods, just drivetrain.

However in april I will be running with a bassani exhaust instead of my borla.

I'll probably wait until I can get a couple runs at the track before I install my headers.
