Ok... so I was headed to lunch yesterday and when I walked out of the door of my strip mall, guess what just happed to catch my eye! None other than a Vibrant White Coug! Ok... So I waited around and smoked a cigarette and prayed that they would walk out so I could catch them. Well, I finished smoking and they never came out! By that point, I was starving and thinking about just leaving a flyer but it was raining so I couldn't do that. So I walked up the sidewalk to the store it was parked in front of. The lady that works in the store knows me and we talk sometimes so I had to be cleaver and figure out a reason to go down there. SO I walked in and they had some ugly Christmas ornaments on sale so I pretended like I liked them and then she got off the phone and I just casually asked *Vivian... do you know who drives that white Cougar?* and she asked around and found the lady and I was SO NERVOUS, I have not like physically talked to anybody yet! But She had a cracked bumper so I was was like *I noticed that you have a cracked bumper and I am a member of a Cougar Club and I know that you can get some good kits and stuff for good prices. Then she told me that she already had a kit ordered. She couldn't remember which one though. She said that it was about $1500! She was like,*Do you think I already messed up* I was like, It really depends on which kit you ordered! She will be the first one in Florence with a body kit. I gave her a flyer and told her to e-mail me and to start talking to people. I told her that we will have some upcoming meets and stuff. So, basically, I tried to recruit! Do you think I did good? I was VERY nervous! I don't know why though! I shouldn't have been! Anyway... yall should be proud :) I ignored my fears and did what I had to do! This sounds like a soap opera or something! I called Chas and was like *guess what I just did?!?!* He thought I was crazy but I was SO proud of myself! I am very simple minded, aren't I? lol!! Oh yeah, despite what my stomach was telling me, I skipped lunch! It was worth it!

I saw a Rio Red 2001~02 last night filling up with gas in Florence. I had to turn around and find him! Ok... this one went REALLY well! I gave them a flyer and my phone number... told him what NECO was all about. Told him that he can talk to people about problems with their cars and get more information. I also told him that he can get intakes, and body kits, everything. I think I could really make this work in Florence! So I won't be the only one anymore!! I also gave him Chroma's website, I pushed really hard and he let me, but I wasn't overpowering at all. Plus, I wasn't nervous!!!! I think i'm starting to master this thing! woo hoo!! Bottom Line, he seemed really interested!

Hey, I already handed out 4 flyers in the past couple weeks. There are like 8 cougs on the base. Though I don;'t know if any has come on here or not.

I have handed out about 15 of the flyers and some cars might have even gotten two (Can't remember which cars I have given it to so I gave them another one). I haven't seen any of them on here though. I don't know how everyones flyers look, but make sure that it has a direct link to this forum so that they don't miss it. Good luck and happy recruiting.

Ok... i'm starting to wonder if these flyers are working. I don't even think that talking to them is working. Truthfully, I think that people get kind of scared away when they see that it's *online*. I mean, I guess that they don't think that we do anything.
Besides the flyers and talking to people, any ideas on how to strike up some interest? I thought that putting a sticker with Carolina NECO on my car would work but my dad isn't big on letting me put stickers and stuff on my car. Has anyone had any luck getting people to join? I just found the website and got all excited and so I started talking and joined without any problem!

 People are mean. We are just trying to be social  Oh well, it is their loss. I just don't know if there are that many cougar owners out there that are very interested in mods for their cars. My flyer now stresses the fact that they don't have to be looking for mods to come to this site and that there are a lot of other reasons to check in. Hopefully it will work.

we have around 15 cougars in my town...I flyer'd at least 9 of them in one weekend...that was at least 3 weeks ago and we also gave another one out to this kid and his girlfriend the week before...but still no one on the boards :( I'll put flyer's on their car one more time (I write down the plate #'s) and than that's it so they won't consider it harassement.

Ok... I thought about that.. the duplicate thing... I want to put in mine something like *if you received this flyer before, it's only because we care* or *it's because we hope you love your car as much as we do* or *we are trying to be helpful*. Any more ideas, I don't want it to sound stupid! Help me out!
