First off, having an ATX is bad enough. But people only seem to race me on the day I fill up my tank....

Going to my g/f's last weekend I happened behind a Cavalier with a fart tip. My exit was coming up so I gunned it past him to get to the right side and he took it as a threat and went ape-**** to get around me.

He give me the nod and I say "OK" and point to take my exit (Rt. 24 in Mass is about 15+mi of straight road). As soon we merge I let him get up next to me & then punch it. Of course my car does nothing for about 2 seconds and then goes. During all this he pulled slightly ahead (which was when I heard his intake too) doing about 80. I was rather pissed and called my car a "Slow-ass piece of f*ck!" at which she retorted by unleashing a kick in the pants so unexpected you could feel the front just 'lift' and it threw me back. From 90 I just tore ass right ahead and he seem to just sit there. I slowed & let him catch up to try it again, just so I would know he wasn't shutting down on me. He shoots ahead & I punch it again, car hesitates for 2 seconds and just GOES! I took it up to 120 for a bit just to show I won and slowed down to give him wave. We rolled windows & he said "That thing's F'n fast, I couldn't keep up". I said thanks and told him it was an ATX and he said he had stick.

Nothing impressive I know. But I never get into races in my area so I'll take what I can get being an ATX with a full tank.

yeah I love the atx at high speeds, the thing hauls... the thing has such a tall 3rd gear u can go like 105, after that it hits 4th w/ overdrive and then climbs up slowly but gets there.

If you wish to fix that ATX bog thing I would suggest going with the SVT TB and a chip. I got the SVT TB., UIM, LIM and 19 lb's and there was a night and day difference in take off time. I cant wait to get my comp back with a chip installed.
