Just when I thought my dealing with Evans Ford would be over I get a call today from the sales manager:
"There has been a little mix up with the financing contract, we can't offer you the 90 days no payments option. We need you to come in and resign the financing contract." I had to hold back the laughter.
It's been a month since I bought it and now he's trying to change the finance contract! The heck with that! I can't believe these guys. I've already got a contract I like...I ain't resigning nothing!

Did you tell them: "SURE!! What time are you open 'til? I'll be there in no time! Just don't leave until I get there OK."
What a bunch of idiots! I would have told him to shove it!
Good job on getting the deal though! ;)
They're a bunch of morons if they actually expect you to go in and sign it!
I can't believe anyone could be so dumb!

careful not to piss them off blantly :)
if you EVER need anything fixed on yer car (warrenty or not), even if you don't go to that dealership, they'll blacklist you and perhaps make yer life a living hell... Dealers are dicks like that...

Luckily my family has a long standing relationship with the dealer in Oakville. Evans owes me a minor trim piece, but it's nothing anyone would notice unless they were picking the car apart.

I little trick I learned (Because sometimes the original finance contract you sign usually does say that it can be renegotiated and that the terms may not be final), In the first month or two, put as many miles on the car as you can, upwards of say.. 3k. :) Then, when they call and say they want to renegotiate, you tell them 'Well, if you're going to go back on the original contract, I'll just return the car. You don't mind taking it back with 3000 miles on it, do you?'. They'll usually balk at the mileage and let you keep your contract, because they won't be able to sell that car for anywhere near the price you paid with that kind of mileage new. :)

I think my finance and sales contract are all the same, but the mileage idea is good. I've only got 1300 kms so far though. Maybe I should go for a little drive today.

Hey, I saw a little piece on that 24/7 News Channel kinda like CityTV just yesterday, dunno if yer familiar with Silverman, the guy that helps out the public if you call in and are like ripped off, he goes off and b*tches for you.
Anyways, it was some lady with a CRV and she signed a contract and they asked her to resign because the contract I guess was TOO good... kinda like what yer going through, anyways just wanted you to know, the rest of the story is illrelevant because she went back got it resigned on one condition that she'd get some money back blah blah blah, and she didnt... but anyways, this resigning of contracts seems to happen frequently.
