Ok all...WHat days are best for everyone...hopefully we can find a day where most people could come. I guess a weekend would be best.
So what day or days are best, then we can set a date, and come to my house and have an installfest...
So maybe in like 2 weeks due to the meet this coming sunday...just a thought...we can installs on anything people want done...

Well, I'll be around until January 11th, after which I'll be in the Caribbean. Any day until then would be fine for me...

I work a normal 9-5 job, so weekends are all good for me. What about Saturday (1/5)? This way we can put in my intake and SupeRThug's hood scoop and neons and whatever else we get to play with and show off the next day at Bridgewater :)
I wouldn't mind stopping by the grease trucks when we're done either hehehe. Haven't had anything from the grease trucks since I was in school.

I went to a friend's house who actually has the basic socket wrench tool set (gasp!) and started working on my intake. Guess what? I didn't realize I need a IAT relocation kit (and the sale rep from BAT who sold me the intake told me the wrong info), so I have to call them back tomorrow and order the thing.
It's unlikely for me to get the relocation kit before the weekend, so I probably won't make it to the mini meet. Sorry.
Look forward to meeting y'all on Sunday!

hmmm... you know, I don't want to steer you wrong, but I have a feeling we could find a way around that little problem :)

The IAT can be relocated with just 2 wires, or as Frank is talking about...removing it entirely and replacing it with a resistor....

For the mini-meet... SUNDAYS are best, if not i can still do wednesdays ;)
As for that intake problem... COME TO THE MEETING and WE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT!!!

On the stock airbox of the Cougar there is a thermometer with wires that (presumably) lead to the computer. On my 99 Cougar the thermometer is encased in grey plastic attached to the backside of the stock airbox. That's the IAT right? Ok, even though the IAT relocation kit is only 2 bucks, I'm really interested what you guys can do here.
My personal idea was drilling a hole in the gasket between the intake pipe and the filter, and stick the thermometer in there. That's probably a dumb idea to you guys but then I'm not so mechanically inclined so feel free to make fun of me, it's the only way I will learn :)

As long as you can get your car to the meeting, even if you have a CEL(check engine light) on, we can take care of everything!

I also work a 9-5 Monday - Fridday.. So Saurday and Sunday are the best for me. I dont think Im gonna install my stuff untill spring. I have to move again when my mortage goes through, so I cant install the RSTB anyway.

I put my old stock intake back in because I don't want to risk not having the IAT, so CEL is not on.
Jeremy I guess I'll see whenever you have time (maybe the minimeet if we ever get a time set) you can help me with it?

Thanks for the offer, Jeremy... I've had a CEL since I can't remember when. I suspect it's a lean code, but I'd like to find out for sure

I think for meets the best days it seems to be is Saturdays and Sundays.....(::Hint Hint: Bill works at STS and has sundays off, you do the math Bill + STS = Stuff figured out alittle faster than headers in 12 hours...no offense Chris and Jeremy)
So vote for meetings on Sunday....:) plus i dont have to work either and trying to get a day off on saturday for me sucks
