feel free to go to the Suspension section and the cosmetic section (if you own a streetweapon bumper) to see if you can answer my questions, I'm losing faith in the rest of NECO, but i'm positive my SoCal peeps won't let me down......guess my questions were to "simple" for some.

losing faith in the rest of NECO? no way....
we should go off on our own, we got enough webmasters in here, lets announce a retreat from the NECO and just have our own.
anyway, i can't help you with the SW questions, but having worked so long for a suspension shop, i can help you with the suspension one. the springs on the cougar are very weak, 250psi, as opposed to the average of 400-450psi. that means you get a better ride, but worse handling. after all it is a touring car by nature right? so what you do is get some new koni adjustable struts, i would avoid coilovers as they will not supprt all the weight your using very comfortably. secondly i would add some stiffer springs. the roush ones are pretty stiff. maybe invest in the eibach kit, they are even stiffer still. so koni with the eibach springs, i think you wont have any problems. or you can be like jimmy and just get airbags. but we don't all have the money jimmy does ;)

if i got airbags...where in the hell would i put my stereo system....hehe.
you think the ST200 struts would do the trick in the strut department? I'm not sure on their psi rating......i'm looking at those cause their cheaper...but the koni's are my 2nd choice no doubt.

the springs are rated based on (pounds per sq in.) psi, not the struts, the higher a number, the stiffer the spring. the reason i suggest the koni's is becuase they are adjustable. i dont think the st200 from bat are adjustable. you want to be able to dial in a tighter feel in the back than in the front due to the excessive weight in the back. you are offsetting the natural balance, and i beliee your weight biased is in the rear anyway now. if you keep the front/back the same, your going to be pretty bouncy i would imagine. you want to be able to adjust the struts seperately. see what im gettin at?
anyone with more info, please jump in antime.

<< the springs are rated based on (pounds per sq in.) psi, not the struts, . >>
DOH...totally misread that the 1st time....i gotcha now.
are the Koni adjustable struts out yet though? Last I heard they weren't available...but thats been awhile.....and if they are, ya know the typical questions coming....where and how much ;)

they are not that much more than the st200, they are like 150 a piece, as far as i know they are out
Koni's (http://www.spmotorsports.com/contour_struts.html#koni)
i was going to get them, but i dont have a need, i have the stock struts with eibachs, and im lightening the cougar, 150 pounds and counting!! i dont have a need for a stiffer strut/spring combo. but for those of you with heavy loads, its probably a good idea.

thanks bro....i'll try the koni's w/ my roush springs...hopefully that will be more then enough stiffness.

Would it be stupid to just buy the rear adj. Koni's for right now and have them installed?
