ahd fadsnfaulk3wyr-8325v damnit. i want to paint some interior stuff but i guess im afraid of breaking **** and not doing it right. i want to paint my vents... and i was thinking about my cruise control buttons.. i wanna do em in a silver/aluminum look :)

Yeah, I want to do my vent covers in a brushed aluminum kind of look, and I want to do some of the dash panel accents in the same color. I wish I could find a color that matched the exterior, though... that'd look damn awesome.

whew u got me.. i havent thought about too much on the painting cuz i want a brushed aluminum dash kit :flushed: so i might stick with the aluminum look and let u have the matching look... would be more unique.. plus it was ur idea :cool: but i think doing everything around the door handle and locks and that big sweeping handle on that door.. u know the one with the mini cougar head in it...

I'll take a closer look at the interior of the car when I drive my g/f to work this morning.. and think about which pieces I want to paint. :) If I come up with anything cool, I'll let you know, since it doesn't bother me if you paint it brushed-aluminum color... :biggrin:

Hi cougar people . This rain is something else .. can't work on the car .

How many people, if any, are interested in SCCA racing?? If enough would be interested in a meeting at a Mirko Racing in Morgan Hill. He raced Contours, Mazdas and this coming year, RSXs.. He does a great job in tuning the cars for performance and has some custom performance parts for the Contour that will fit our Cougars. And if you have the money, a full race duratec engine.

I like the dash in my car since adding the Carbon Fiber trim.. It is pretty plain as the '99 comes from the factory. I can't say I'm any good with a brush or spray can .. WHAT A SCARY THOUGHT ..

I only WISH I had money.. depends on how much we're talking about here. If it's a couple hundred bucks for some cheap mod or tuning, then I'd be down with that... sometime in early january or early february. But if it's a couple of G's for tuning something or other.. I'll just show up and look. :biggrin: I'd love to do some SCCA racing stuff, even in my damn ATX. ;)

EDIT: I hate this rain too. I just quik-detailed my car two days ago to clean off the crap leftover from the previous sprinkle... :(

What can I supply in the way of information? Albert will sell you what ever you can afford from a full race ready contour to a few small parts. ;) He is really a great guy and may host a half day secession at the garage if enough guys are interested.. Dyno testing is also available.

If there were enough members, the Ford dealer (in Gilroy) would host a tire kicking secession with food, drink, etc. but NorCal has a way to go for that?? :(

Hrm.. well, the Mirko's thing sounds cool, I think we'll have to arrange it once we get the other NorCal people LOOKING AT THE BOARD AGAIN. ;) A Dyno-day would be cool, too. You can all compare what your mods have done to your HP vs. my Stock. ;) Do they do custom exhaust, too? I'm trying to find a place closer than where Mark went for his dual Dynomax exhaust, but will be around the same $220 price range.. I guess I should call them sometime, huh? :)
