Y2Kat, do you know what the cost to enter these upcoming shows are? And when is the due date for the first one on the 19th? Are you planning on attending? I was going to take off my rims tomorrow for the winter, but I just might have to keep them on a bit longer.

I think Autofest is $35.00, Frosty Wheels is $20.00 and I'm not sure about Hunters. From what I've heard from other people is if you show at Autofest, or at Frosty Wheels, you cannot show at Hunters. I'm going to check on that first chance I get.
I was going to pull my wheels too before the weather got bad, but if I want to enter any of these shows, I'm not going to be able to either.

I think I would rather show at Hunter's. Seems they would have more classes and it is the only show I have heard of out of those 3. Which one are you showing at?
Looks like I have to pull the wheels. I went to put air in them last night and now the valve stem is blowing it out. It's a slow leak, but I can hear it coming out. You know of any tire places that are open today or tomorrow?

Not in Murfressboro. I think National Tire and Battery is problay open today over in Hickory Hollow.
I'm not a real fan of Hunters. It's a personal thing from when I worked selling wheels. If I can get ready, I'm going to show at Autofest, and Frost Wheels. I need to get springs, gauge overlay and rear STB installed, and get the nose repainted to take out the rock chips. My body guy is off till after the first of the year and my installer has his GSR tore down rebuilding the engine. It's going to be close. If I can't get ready for Autofest, then I'll hold iff until Hunters.

Well I'm sure that some of your fellow KyTn NECO members wouldn't mind lending a helping hand. I myself have done springs/suspensions for many friends as well as myself. We could pull together and get this thing rolling before show time. I don't know about the body work, but the rest can be done in a good day.
Is Autofest usually a big show? What about Frosty Wheels? I would like to show, but I don't know if I am show worthy yet. My first real show that I have attended was this summer at the Nopi show in Pigeon Forge. I would like to get more into the show scene and see what all it takes to get points and get ideas for future mods.

Oh yeah, I went to Sears today about my stem leak. They just tightened my stem core and off I went. Yeah right!!! It wasn't that easy. I got a quote over the phone, $2.50 for stem replacement installed. I get there and they want to charge me $16.-- to do it. Anyway, the manager came out there and looked at it and said for the guy to tighten the core. He did and the seeping air sound ceased. Free service for me. Looks like the 18" ADR's are staying on!!!

Autofest isn't as big as Hunters, but it's been around for a good while. I remember going to the first one in the late 80s or real early 90s.
Frost wheels is most likely a local show. I've never heard if it. That's why if I can't his AUtofest, I'll skip FW and shoot for Hunters. This is going to be the 1st. year I really make am attempt to hit alot of shows. I showed one time this year at a small show here in Nashville. Didn't get anything at all. But a few of the show regulars told me I was screwed over. Made me feel good. If the GSR doesn't get back on the road soon, I might have to take you up on your offer. The body work is an easy fix. I've just got to wait for him to get back in town. It's most likely show for him, with no snow yet, so he'll go easy on me.
Good deal with your tire. I thought I had a screw in one of mine yesterday. I got lucky, it only barely stuck in the tread.

I've made up my mind not to show in Autofest this year. I'm having to rush around to try to get things finished, I don't feel like it's getting done in time, and I don't want to show half as*ed, so I'm most likely going to wait for Hunters in March. That way I can take my time and (hopefully)do it right.

That makes since. Running around and being stressed out takes all the fun out of it. I think I am going to go to the show just to see what is happening and get ideas.

Hey well I be back but don't think I'll be attending any of them. Car not quite there yet I think. Got alot of interior and under the hood mods that needs to take place first. Plus other areas, hood itself, spoiler and total repaint. Anda few other goodies :)
But tomorrow I am going to ford to get the tranny fixed. Going to cost me $974 for that :( freaking fun stuff. But makes since, I'm always SOL :) hehehe.
The biggest show I am aiming at is attending NOPI Nationals this year. I do want to show in that. And I think I'll have everything ready by then. Maybe. If I don't get SOL again.
