I posted this in the problems section, as well.
My E-brake is all the way down and when I stop and then accelerated (especially hard acceleration) my brake light flashes.
Anyone else had this problem? My Kitty is a 2000, MTX with 22K miles

i had a problem like this on my 99 anytime id accelerate hared or brake hard or turn hard it would flicker on and off it started at like 60,000k sorrry i guess im not really any help cause when it started i just traded in my coug for a new one but maybe its some kind of warning light to let you know the pads may be worn?? sorry i dunno really just an idea

Hi Shelly,
Are you talking about the red warning light on the dash? (NOT the amber ABS light)
If so, my first guess would be low brake fluid. Make sure the brake fluid reservoir is filled. Sounds like the fluid is sloshing around since you say it blinks when you accelerate and stop.
If you feel any unusual softness, or mushiness in the brake pedal, get that checked by a mechanic. Wouldn't want you to bump into anything unexpectedly!
