Hey folks, well, looks like I am the newbie to this forum. Name is George, currently reside in n.n. and am a Chair, er, Air Force guy. About 2 months ago, the wifes 300m took a crapper (rear speed sensor went out, $400.00 later it is back on the road) so I talked to a friend of mine. He hooked me up with a 01 cougar to drive while the other car was being fixed, and damn if I didn't fall in love with the little thing. So, long story short, bought the cougar (who can pass up 0% APR????, plus 60 months). I have never been one for the compact racer look (more of a biker, less the beard and long, unwashed hair, but I do have the bugs in my teeth ;) )but I am a performance nut. Currently own 57 chevy 4 door (fixer up for retirement), 82 Trans Am (p.o.s.), 85 buick Regal (my folks are driving it, hell, they can keep it), 99 Chrysler 300m and as you know, 01 Red cougar. As for mods to the cougar, there are none. Despite all the vehicles we own, just don't have the $ for alot of the parts. My wife is also in the Air Force (we are known as DINK's, dual income-no kids) and is currently in Saudi doing some repair work to some F-15's who are kickin the crap outta Ol' Binny Boy-o. Myself, I do Satellite Communications and am in a mobile unit. It is great to find a group that seems to enjoy helping each other out. So, if there is anyone on this side of the water who would like to hook up on wekends to work on his/her cars, drop me a line (no offense to those on the bch side, I just don't do tunnels after watching that movie Daylight). I own a house, so room is not a real problem. Also, when the garage is clean i can usually fit 2 cars and my bike inside of it. Well, enough of this overly long Hi, how are you. Take care and keep it real.

on a side note....what kind of bike do you have...me: '90 Red Yamaha Virago w/chrome & drag pipes. though I'm trying to sell it to put more money into my car....I want to do the 3.0L swap.

Welcome to Tidewater Neco. I'm in Hampton so I am also this side of the water, as far as tunnels go don't forget about the James River Bridge, a bit longer but not unfeasable. Look forward to meeting you in person.

Hey Wassup
Great to have another newbie to Tidewater NECO. Welcome. We can get over the tunnel thing. We were just over there last night. Well as of now we don't have any meets planned, but I'm sure that will change soon.
Looking forward to meeting you

Hey Jeremy,
I am currently riding a 01 750 Honda Shadow ACE. Jardine drag pipes, rejeted to phase II and took them dumb plastic tank labels off. Great little scoot. I am a previous Harley owner, just got to tired of paying for a name. So, I went metric. I know I know.....not american. But neither is Harley anymore. Parts are made in Mexico for some of the bikes, korea for others.
To everyone else, thanks for the great welcome. I look forward meeting everyone. As for the tunnel.....maybe i can get Q to do me up a Bond special for the cougar. a cougar hovercraft would be cool. First two mods are in the works. Ordered a dash kit from ebay (24 piece for $58 bucks) and i am working on something for the front end (could tell ya, but have to shoot ya). Again, thanks for the great welcome everyone.
