No matter the future of this whole chapter bs... Nothing is going to stop me from Caravanning to the biggest Cougar event of the year. So please place all your differences aside and lets work something out.
I have discussed things with Other chapters and I will be heading up our portion of the caravan down. Here is what I have concluded.
Maryland people will be jumping on I-95 off of 495 or they will be taking US-301 to I-95. No one place is going to be central so please help me conclude what will work for the MAJORITY.
1. Maryland members meet somewhere within their state. then drive to meet up in Central VA to meet up with the Northern VA guys.
2. Northern VA members meet somewhere in fairfax and head down to meet up in Central VA.
3. Tidewater members meet somewhere in their area and head to the Richmond area (I64 I think)
4. Central VA people meet up with the group 1 & 2. We all drive to Richmond to meet up with Tidewater
5. We all are in Richmond, drive up to I-81 and meet up with the other groups from NJ and further North Chapters. Also pick up some VA members who live in that area.
Finally drive a nice 3 hours with over 20 cougars bumper to bumper all the way to Cougar Fest.
ALL THOSE PLANNING TO GO PLEASE POST

Actually, James, it'd be easier for the NOVA and MD peeps to hit I-66 West and hit I-81 South (1 hour from Manassas) and then head down to TN. The Central and Tidewater people can then meet up with the rest of the caravan where I-64 hits I-81. That'd be easiest and more direct.

Thanks for your response Heather... Thats perfect, those MD people who want to come down US 301 can meet here before we go to I-64 I-81 Meet...
On a side note, I want to see who responds to this since they all replied to the other forum.

Eric the future of my car is changing literally by the minute. I got somethings I need to settle and iron out as to what I really want to do to it, what I have the money for and what goals I need to aim for. My original goal was to have the 2001 back on the east coast and get the 1999 back on the road. The 1999 is getting its engine pulled this sunday thanks to the help of Capital NECO. However I think that may be as far as it goes for a few months. I am trying to work the details so I can get that motor I once discussed on NECO a few months back. Thats the delimia I have. Put all my money into one car and only have it for shows and come out for 2002 hitting hard as ever, or take it slow like i did with the 99 and hope I don't get hit again...So as you can see I am confused with what to do and need to either think it out or make a split decision and live with it. Dunno!
Either the case... I-64 is a real rough road... I hope to be with you all driving the 2001. If I have the motor by then, we will switch the question around on to you! hehe j/k I like to hang back in the crowd during caravans... Anyways... I hope to meet you on the drive to Pigeon Forge, we will talk more in the coming months...

Greg and I will be going. 64 to 81 into TN is also how we usually go to my sister who used to live in Nashville. It will take us about 9hours from Bel Air, MD to Pigeons Forge, TN...longer if there are stops, other than gas and the caravan meet up, along the way. For those in our neck of the woods who want to know about how long it takes. Has anyone thought about hosting a sleep over to get as many cougars together at once as possible. It will cut down on the time it takes for each person/group to meet up.

glad to hear about the caravan. my post about it was never answered. i'm in. i'd be willing to meet anywhere as long as i have directions and a time to meet. i would offer a sleepover but i share a townhouse with my parents (it's what i have to do to keep the family together) and there is barely enough room for the 3 of us. so, let me know if there is anythign else i can do to help.:)

I've invited the NE and Canandians to stop over in VA in Manassas on their caravan. Eric your caravan and the NOVA caravan can probably meet up somewhere near the I-66 and I-81 interchange. I know Winchester is near that junction, but NOVA would have to go the wrong way on I-81, but its really not that big of a deal since its right there, and you've already got a stop planned there so we can meet you there (woo hoo we can leave at a decent hour!!). I've been down I-81 south once but I don't remember much. Maybe we can set up a rest point for ya'll thats near the 81-66 junction and have us meet you there and then meet up with everyone down in Roanoke (btw, thats where my sister might be going to college!) You never know what happened last CF may happen again and we all converge at the same time on the road. :)
I'm in, provided I don't f*** up my Cougar again by doing something stupid...
Oh well- At least I get my Visteon repainted!
The 66-81-64 idea is cool. Used to go out that way to school (VA Tech) all the damn time. I could almost make that drive blindfolded. Anyone want to dare me? As long as I get to use your car! ;)

Dan, if you hurt your car again, I'm going to give you a complimentary beating for stupidity. ;)

They're starting the work on Monday- Should be done by Friday. I had to get them receipts for the tire and rim so they could give the estimate to my insurance company... Then that amount comes off my deductible! Woo hoo!

Matt, That works great, if you check the site, I said that we'd meet up at the Hardee's... since we'll be
there the longest..(for lunch) that means people can trickle in...
