What is a good brand to use on our 4 bangers? Im lookin into gettin some new ones once I get my ford racing wires. Bosch dont make ones for our cars. I dont know? Splitfire? Does anyone know the size or number that ours use?

Autolite double platnium
Split fires are a gimmick. The Federal Trade Commission even thinks so.
The Autolites will last you at least 60,000 miles so I would go with that. Be sure to use a little bit of copper-based anti-seize on the new plugs when you install them...

I found these double platnium on Autolites website. But how do you order them? Or where?

I picked mine up from autozone actually.....my friend worked there and he just grabbed them for me
What about NGK I was thinking of getting some of these...they're supposed to be good, part number ptr5a-13

I heard they are good as well....but they are something like $10 a pop or something?? Free is good :)

anybody know the part number for the Motorcraft double platinums that work in the Zetec engine?

I was told that Motorcraft only had single platinum for the zetec. Thats why I went with the double platinum Autolites.

I checked up on Morotcraft's website and couldn't find anything on the double platinums for a zetec...only the normal plugs came up for a 4 banger contour....I need to go to autozone a little later...maybe i'll put them to work :biggrin:

the motorcraft for the Zetec are only avaliable in the single plats.

I think you start splitting hairs between single and double plats...
