The caravan can meet somewhere near you and drive to here. We can then meet up with Tidewater NECO outside of Richmond on I-64 and head out to Pigeon Forge. It is about 9 hours from my house. See who gets the best gas mileage :)

Dan, how in the h~!! did you average that? No AC, cruise locked into 55 and downhill all the way?

edit - - Oh yeah, at this point I'm pretty sure I'm in.

The event will be in Pigeon Forge, TN at the base of the smoky moutains. There will be a main show on Saturday July 21st 2002. The 20th and 22nd I will have as many group activities organized as possible for things to do. Pigeon Forge is a large tourists attraction with tons of things to do in the area. We are aiming for 200+ Cougar to show up as well as some vendors and sponsors who will have products on hand for sale (no shipping). As of now we may have to charge a small registration fee to help cover the costs of the field and a meal that will be provided the day of the show. Group rates for hotels will be setup. Group rates for the activities also. The smoky mountains itself and surronding areas provides some of the best twisties anywhere, which is really good to take the kitty out for a spirited drive. Caravans will be organized. If you want to go or are thinking of going please register now at www.cougarfest.com (http://www.cougarfest.com) and just click on the Registration button. This way here I can send you an email with pertinent information. There will also be a CougarFest West event the following weekend. For the DieHards we are organizing a caravan from Pigeon Forge to the CougarFest West event, so if you are upto it you can join in on this one also.

If you have any other questions just let me know or post them in the CougarFest forum.

Nope- 75MPH cruising, with the A/C on low, actually. There was a lot of downhill, but on the way TO Cougarfest I averaged 34.9... So anyone want to figure that out?

Just registered for CF2K2... Can't wait...

did someone mention drinks??? i could sure use one now. i've been known to get a little trashed sometimes, but only if i don't have to drive. i've had my share of getting home and wking up the next morning not being able to remember how i got home. so, to me drinking is fine...as long as driving isn't involved. especially since i have a car that i love now!:)

I'm definetly game for this. I have driven through Tennessee a few times and eastern Tenn is a blast to drive through. 5-6 Lane highways, mountains, lots of twisties, and I never saw so much as 1 cop outside of major cities. Very fun road for the home stretch of the trip!
