So im driving to the mall with my brother and this blue WRX with a 10,000 foot tall wing pulls up next to me. The light is red and the whole time he is rolling back and forth revving and all. So the light turns green and you guessed it, he smoked me. But later that night night i redeemed myself when an S-10 Extreme pulls up next to me and is doin burnouts next to me at the light. So the light truns green and we go, to my surprise by the time i shifted into 2nd i was a good 3 cars ahead of him. So after im a good distance ahead of him, he does the proverbial fly by at some outrageous speed. I dont know if he couldnt drive a stick well or just gave up after i got the jump. Either way he was still good at doin burnouts, but i guess thats all those chevy boys can do anyway.

Good kill on the S 10  was he spinning the tires when he launched? I guess we don't stand a chance against the WRX...I love the sound of those superchargers

As far as I know, S-10's are still rear wheel drive. So when you launched, his back end was most likely hopping all over the place, no weight on the rear wheels, I learned that the hard way. In '94 in a brand new chevy full-size truck, mustang - non GT - pulls beside me, beats the snot out of me off the line. Anyway, that is why you took such a good lead. Not to diminish your story cause he got what he was asking for -- His tail whipped.

Great Kill . There was this fat kid with an extreme at my school and thought he was tough sh!t, until almost every coupe in the parking lot beat him. Wish I had my Kat then, I'd like to see how bad I could beat him. BTW this kid is like 320lbs+ which I'm sure would make a difference.

Anyone know the stock 0-60 and 1/4 times for the WRX?
By the way, the WRX is turbocharged, not supercharged.

Stock WRX MTX 0-60 is about 5.4 seconds. The biggest thing is the AWD makes launching them almost idiot proof.
I say 'almost' idiot proof cause if you watch other drivers long enough, you'll know there are some ingenious idiots out there.
As far as the S-10 'Extreme', they are not. Kid that lives in my neighborhood has tried a few times in vain to beat me and has yet to succed. This with my V6 ATX and no performance mods to date.
i got a v6 atx with CAI/exhaust and the SVT upper and i officially raced a very stock looking S10 extreme and the guy beat me, it wasn't a slaughter but he still beat me, had a good launch and everything. so the guy either couldn't drive or (insert other reason here) i guess it still kill though if ya wanna say it is

I walked by a running WRX and the exhaust tone at idle, almost made me go. It sounds wicked. it has some gurgles in it. Ohhhhhhh BBBBBaaaaaaaabbbbbbbbbyyyyyyyyyy. too bad the ass end looks like it was ass raped by an elephant.

Ya that WRX is sweet... that was my other choice when I was buying my cougar. I went with my cougar more for the looks then anything. The WRX would be a sweet ride but I don't regret my choice in the coug...
