I doubt many MC NECO members have time for this right now, I for one do not. Seeing as the economy isnt doing that great and we are in the automotive capital of the world with a majority of us having jobs related one way or another to this industry we have all taken a hit.

Unless one of the younger guys wants to step up and take this on, I doubt you will have a rep from MC NECO.

Sorry. I thought it was a silly idea. I really could care less about letting other chapters know about what we are doing... if they are that interested they can read about it here. Not only that.... but the "chapter of the year" doesnt mean alot to us either since we are basicly exempt because we(used loosly) run cougarfest.

Sorry to knock ya but add to that the fact that im VERY busy with other things right now AND we dont even have our OWN site up and running yet... this got major back burner treatment from our group. This is the time of year that the carclub goes out the window for a bit im afraid. We all have mucho personal stuff going on and its cold as hell here so there are no meets unless they are indoors. Not only that... but most of us dont even drive our cougars in the winter. Again... sorry for not participating.. but I think its silly. Thats just me... aparently im a negative person since all the other groups are in... but then again maybe they did it so you would stop pm'ing them.

EDIT: I just re-read your hit about "taking an active role in neco" You can kiss MY active ass. Do your homework and youll see that this is THE most active part of neco. Sure..... socal and some others have more members... but we do more with less then you could ever imagine. God I hope you didnt drive up MY ramps at cougarfest... i guess i wasnt taking an active roll in NECO when i fronted the money and spent 10 hours in blistering heat building them for people I didnt even know. Maybe you were talking about brad who single handedly created cougarfest as we know it... or maybe puck who now runs it and moderates this board and has time to go to other chapters to show them how to do mods? It's pointless to argue over a comment you misinterpreted, and someone from MCNeco has stepped forward to help out. If you want to make a big thing out of this, be my guest. I'm not one to get all pissy because someone posts a message on a board.

Im not going to nor trying to knock MCNeco. I just wanted to make sure one of the more important groups in the whole thing would at least be in the talks.

At the least, it requires filling out a questionnaire about your group to be posted on the website. Maybe a few pictures, maybe a little bit about some of the group leaders.

ummm... we don't have group leaders... exigent is the moderator but that's about it... everyone in mc-neco are considered equals....\

... anyhow i don't like the idea either, honestly if people want to know about the chapters why don't they just come out and check out the chapters, we all have our own forums... the only other thing i can see out of your idea is the ranking thing and i think that's just gonna be more of a trouble then anything else and it will only prompt wars between chapters

exactly.. I don't mind the whole idea of being able to go to one place and read just about the happenings and history of each chapter, it is easier than sifting through threads..

However, with chapter ranking, "Who's the most popular or helpful" you will no longer have people working together to solve problems or find new things to do.. but instead will have every chapter competing to have the most and do the most, for their own chapter.

Lets see.. how many groups in NECO have come out with mods besides MC NECO.. lets see.. gutted precats was mastered by Exigent and after some refining we posted a how to on the whole process.. Who organizes CougarFest? Geee.. MC NECO does and has for every single one, thanks to Atomic and Puck there is such a thing as Cougarfest. Who on this board has 2 racing Cougars.. hmm.. Leo and Craig Capaldi.. I dont see anyone else around here who has done as much for the cougar as those 2, not to mention countless how to's by our collective group as well as many product ideas like headlamps and gauge clusters.

We dont want to be in the competition because it is plain in simple no other group in NECO can even come close to us.. I dont even need to mention everything else this group has done for all of NECO. So before you open your mouth in here again I suggest you think twice.

Joker, thanks for saying what I've been thinking. Zn...I really don't want to reply to you. I guess the whole idea is spawned off not to help the existing users, but to help newbies who may be interested in joining up. I understand you can persuse the individual sites and group boards, but it just might be too much for one person to take. Especially if they aren't computer saavy.

The idea is borne out of purely that idea. An introduction into the groups themselves. A group bio. Man, if it was gonna cause this many problems, I wouldajust asked a few questions and been done with it. I'm not trying to cause any inter-chapter rivalries or anything like that. For pete's sake, i thought it was awesome that someone from this group travelled all the way to Madison to show the whole gutting the precat thing.

Point being. This is supposed to be a fun experience to help consolidate general information about each group. The rating idea was an afterthought. The most important part of those ratings were the contributing ideasand the way one chapter plays with another. I think that is the most important thing. To realize that one chapter is no better than another. It's about putting our egos aside and trying to do something for all cougar people.

I'm honestly sorry if i offended anyone. I didn't think it was that far off base, and i'm glad a few people saw that. But there is no reason for you Zn to have to said those things. I didn't think just coming here would have someone resort to that much hostility.

Like I said before "we're just a bunch of guys that like our cars". Personally, that's why I think our chapter is one of a kind. I believe a bio will be given when needed-yet, I don't give a rats ass if we come in first or last. We're the type of guys who will keep our friendships when we're driving taurus' with child seats in the back, weighing 300 pounds and quit doing our own oil changes because we can't fit under our cars. That's just how we are and the proudest reason I'm a member of this group. I love you guys!
