i see all these people buying svt uppers and lowers. I had a tB but eveyone said it wouldnt work with my ATX so sold it. So will any of the svt stuff work? If i keep my car, i wouldnt mind the upper and lower and a 3.0 Tb. I wasnt sure what to search for, so you'll have to get over it :)....

Who is saying it wont work with an automatic? All the svt stuff will work with any car, the only thing that will hang anyone up is the return vs. returnless fuel rails on the svt lower and there is an easy way around that, if you have a 99-and some 2000's you keep the stock rail, if you have 00+ you can keep the fuel rail.

The only thing I've seen that it says the SVT throttle body won't work with is a car with traction control... (Which I have, so poop on me, I guess. :()

ALL PARTS WORK ON all ATX/MTX AND TRACTION CONTROL WITH AT THE MOST SOME SLIGHT MODIFICATION OR DIFFERENT PARTS SO BUY EM AND SLAP THE SUCKERS ON

On that line of thought, I just bought the SVT Upper Manifiold and Throttle Body. I would like a list of JUST the items i need on tp of those to do the install. Wouldnt be a good idea to get everything apart and not have the right bracket or gasket. I have a list that includes what i would need for a LOWER manifold too, and am not sure which parts i DONT need on that list since i am only doing the Upper.

SVT Upper Intake Manifold: 1S8Z-9424-AA
SVT Throttle Body: F7RZ-9E926-AA
Throttle Position Sensor: F5RZ-9B989-B (comes on throttle body, make sure yours does)
Throttle Bracket: FR8Z-9677-AA
Throttle Cable: XS8Z-9A758-CA
Throttle Body Gasket: YS8Z-9E936-AA
Upper to Lower Manifold Gasket Set: F5RZ-9H486-B
EGR Gasket: E6AZ-9D476-B

*note: Bat's upper/lower intake manifold part numbers do not correspond with these part numbers*
Conversion package (http://www.spmotorsports.com/contour_intake_manifolds.html) spmotorsports has a package just for the upper install for $200+ and includes all the items you need

What is the HP gain by doing the SVT upgrade.

The Throttle Position sensor WILL come on the SVT TB. I have not seen one so far that has not.

And the HP gains depend on many things, including what you already have. Best way to find out is to dyno your car, put the SVT stuff on, and then re-dyno your car. That'll tell you how much you are getting.

Look at everyone's responses who have put the SVT UIM and TB on, I have not seen one singel complaint, and everyone that I have seen has been very happy with it. I'd tell anyone that I know to get the stuff...you can't beat the price!

I have an ATX with traction control, cruise control and have fitted the SVT TB, SVT Upper intake and today received the lower intake from BAT. It all just bolts on so simple, even the throttle cable was the same. The only SLIGHT problem was I needed the SVT cruise cable, my std one was too long.

so if i have the upper all i need is

SVT Throttle Body: F7RZ-9E926-AA
Throttle Bracket: FR8Z-9677-AA
Throttle Cable: XS8Z-9A758-CA
Throttle Body Gasket: YS8Z-9E936-AA

and i'll be good to go? (excluding the cryuise cable, whats the part # for that?)

EDIT: oh and i ahve the throttle cable with the little metal cylinder on the end so do i need the SVT one? or do prolly still need the SVT crapper?

Zero,
If i put everything (ok minus the cruise control) why did you leave out the egr and upper to lower gaskets? you need those
btw i have throttle cable i think, 9c799-ca it is the same one many have, yes with the round cylinder on it

i already have my upper on so i have no need for gaskets other than the obvious SVT TB gasket

i gave the part numbers for the parts on the group buy to the parts guy at my dealership and he told me they were not SVT parts. are these different or maybe liek for the 3.0 taurus? cause i might just get the parts from there (faster delivery nd possibly cheaper)

edit: so i for sure done need the SVT tb cable?

Alright, I understand now.
you'd need the TB, tb gasket, bracket, accel cable (if not already svt) and cruise control (i dont know the part # for that)
so yes to:
SVT Throttle Body: F7RZ-9E926-AA
Throttle Bracket: FR8Z-9677-AA
Throttle Cable: XS8Z-9A758-CA
Throttle Body Gasket: YS8Z-9E936-AA
Cruise control: ?????????????

Zero,
Go outside, pop the hood, look at the part number on your cable, its is about mid way on the cable (around where it starts to bend down near the strut tower)
This is the only way, and nobody can tell you for certain if its right or not.
again, read my post a few up from here and that was my part number for my accel cable (it is a different # then the svt one)
