Yeah, I've been semi-following all the crazy threads in CougarFest Forum, and it looks about 99% sure that it will be on the weekend of July 20, 2002, in Pigeon Forge/Knoxville, Tennessee :) Everyone register!! We'll get a massive caravan together with IL and WI!!

We should try to find out if anyone else will be passing through St. Louis on the way. That way we can try to meet up with them and add to the caravan.

oh, ya, got the registration. The bigger the caravan, the better. We could all have the 2-way radios....that might be insane though.

I highly recommend the two way radios... especially since it looks like we're going to have big, big caravans for this one... :)

I checked the milleage through yahoo. and according to it (from my house) it's 503.2 miles which would take 8 hours and 29 min. I don't know if yahoo is correct though.

I am so glad everyone is signed up!! We will be meeting up with the IL and WI caravan for sure, maybe others too...and yes, the 2 way radios are a must!! Makes the drive go by quicker when you can talk to everyone in the caravan...On the way to CF2K1, there were 19 of us at one point...I think we'll blow that away this time :) Oh yeah, it's definitely in TN...no more debates about that now I don't think...Just working out all the details :) I'll get some caravan info, etc. And post on here, as well as an email to everyone soon.

pigeon forge is a for sure location....
as for the yahoo maps, mapquest, etc... what they do is take the speed limit of the roads and determine your drive time... if you go over the limit (like most of us do) then you get there that much faster, however if you go under the limit for construction, pee break, traffic, etc.. then it will take longer....
anyhow under mapquest pigeon forge was said to be close to 9 hours from my house... i made it in about 7 1/2 hours
