I know it has been said before, but you never believe it till you see it. If you look where your SVT throttle body meets the manifold it says 3.0 L stamped in it. So what I am wondering is did we just pay a bunch more for that little SVT sticker that comes on it? Or is the TPS different or something else different from just a regular 3.0 L TB? Also would anyone recomend adjusting that screw on the the TB to open it a little more at idle or no.

first of all, i'd leave the idle screw alone... as trevor pointed out, our cars use IACV to control idle, so TB doesn't really have much to do with it.

next, yes. we payed more for a 3.0 throttle body. i made the same discovery you did when i got mine. heh... oh well, it's prolly a $50 sticker... :)

What years would i want too look for. Would a 2000 3.0L work out ok? I have the SVT upper and want to get the TB and other parts for under $150, so i was thinking going the 3.0L route to save some cash....

I believe your also paying for a SVT spec TPS. Or atleast a 2.5 TPS. Im pretty sure the 3L TPS is a different shape, or on the wrong side, or something else.

Have people been paying a big difference in price between the SVT TB and the 3.0 TB?
