dates (tentative still but it is pretty offical): Saturday, July 20, 2002
You need to REGISTER YOUR COUGAR at
www.cougarfest.com (http://www.cougarfest.com)
This is a 10 hr drive for Chicago NECO buds. So do you guys want to make it two days worth of driving or one? Please realize it will take us longer w/a caravan.
Want to get there two days early? (so Thursday we get there, friday we get ready and party, Saturday the event, leave Sunday)
Not like we have to make decisions right this second. I am actually happy that we have a date and location!
Thank you reagan for fighting the NJ coast location! That would of sucked.

Actually... I vote that we make it a one day's drive. You can make it 10 hours in one day.... if we plan the caravan well enough, we could get our entire caravan and Wisconsin's without any problems... as long as everyone has directions and has a full tank of gas, and we plan stops, we can make it no problem.
Because it really doesn't matter if we all get separated by a couple miles... we just have scheduled meets along the way... to catch up again.
We'll see though what everyone wants..
btw, do you mean the 19th - 21st?

OF COURSE we will meet w/Gateway NECO. We love NECO buds.
I say one day...but I like to leave on a Thursday instead of Friday because 10 hours of driving is a lot and i want to be rested for Saturday to give LOTS of hugs!

I say one day as well...It's a little closer for us, but one day of driving is better than two, especially if it's only about 10 hours...I want to get there and rest for Saturday as well, but I want to be rested to AVOID Heather's hugs!! LOL...just teasing of course :) (well, sorta teasing anyway) Anyway, I will make sure Gateway folks sign up now!! And we'll start looking at lodging and caravan plans soon :) I'm excited already!

I agree... leave Thursday morning... get there Thursday night... that gives us both Friday and Saturday all day... and then Leave early Sunday morning.
We could meet Wisco up here somewhere... and Southern IL and MO somewhere in either Southern IL, IN, or KN...
I'm excited too.. I'll sign up for lodging as soon as we all find out what weekend for sure and which hotel to party at...
i remember once, me and some friends were driving down to texas..
and by the time we got to the southern tip of IL, the front of the car was absolutely PLASTERED with bug guts.
is that always happen, or was it just time time of the year (early august)

ov3n--was it at night? Because that happened to me on the way home from CF2K1...we were flying down I-55 about 90 or so MPH the whole way, and it was dark, and I swear when I got home I didn't know there was a Cougar under all those bugs! I think it happens all the time though :(

where would be the best place for Gateway and IL Neco to meet? I would prefer indiana somewhere, but I am a little biased!:)
Or what is the proposed route? I could sit and wait somewhere along the line.

The Cougarfest website now has a master caravan route plotted out, and has us Gateway folks meeting up with you and WI in Indianapolis. We would then meet up with the rest of the northern groups in Cincinati and head down from there.

the only thing bad about that map, is that the st'louis area people are driving north, just to go south agian if they meet of with us in Indianapolis. that kind of sucks, but then there is that other road that is yelow/blue striped that crosses over the main route in lexington.

SInce Cougar Fest is more than 7 months away, I am not too worried about the caravan route at this moment. I do know that Kyle and I want to leave 2 days early. I hope this is ok with IL NECO buds.

Jenny,
The St. Louis people could meet in Louiville or somewhere similar...don;t have a mop up at the moment.

dosen't really matter to me where they meet up with us at
if it were me though, I would not want to drive up just to go south again, it just seems out of the way for them, lol

Why are you and Kyle going a day earlier?

I mean as NECO chapters. We are going to leave two days before Cougar fest.
That ok?

Thursday is the day I was expecting to leave... the cougarfest site says that cougarfest is Friday and Saturday, so I wasn't considering that Thursday was an extra day early.

If I remember correctly, Pigeon Forge has a helluva lot of things to do, not to mention Dollywood.
