FL-NECO Meet Jan 5th - 10th

RaymondRadon and I will be visiting the great state of FL near Orlando and I was wondering if we could meet up with everyone for awhile. Shoot the $hit and talk about CougarBash, CougarFest, and cruise around for awhile.

Right! Actually, I'm moving down there and he's going with me to help me move. We'll be down there by January 7th (thats when i move into my place).

Hey Guido, if your birthday is in January you can eat at Medieval Times for free (normally $45, beer included!). And I can usually get 1/2 price admission if anyone wants to go.

Mizzo- Where on Semoran are you moving? I'm going to be in seabrook appartments and will be attending Full Sail to study Film and Video. Thats funny that we're moving there 2 days apart. It'll be nice to not be the only new guy there.

Morph- I got a 2000 Laser Red, ATX with a v6. Does anyone really get a cougar with a i4? I got a visteon spoiler and clear side markers. Was going to lower it and put a new front end and ground fx but decided to move somewhere warm instead.

Pinhy - I'm sorry i'm not moving to Tampa. If school wasn't here i would have considered it. I spend some time there a few years back and loved it. I've traveled a lot through Florida and if it wasn't for my friend Brett moving there and dragging (not kicking and screaming) me along then i would have a difficult time deciding where to live exactly. Anyways... none of you care about that and i have to get going now. I'm happy you are welcoming me with open arms!!

Guess what?! I have recieved an email from a third cougar owner that will be moving to Orlando in early January, I believe he said on Jan. 2. This will be great!

Mizza and Radon - I also live on Semoran Blvd, further south near the int'l airport though.

What do you all think about scheduling the meet for the Saturday the 12th or Sunday the 13th? That should give you guys plenty of time to get settled in and won't conflict with Instigator's bball schedule.

When would be better for everyone, the weekend of January 6th or January 13th? It looks like a few people might not still be Orlando, or Florida for that matter, if we do it the 13th. Whatever we do schedule has to be on a weekend otherwise I know a lot of people won't be able to make it.
(Greg- if you will be in Orlando, just let me know when you are free and maybe I can round up a few local cougs during the week since you won't be staying thru the weekend)

Anybody have any suggestions as to what they want to do for the meet? I don't have any ideas for the day yet, but a few people mentioned that they'd be down with Medieval Times Dinner Tournament in the evening (I should be able to get us all in for half price and if your birthday is in January its free). The parks are a little too pricey. I'm hoping that there will be a car show or something on sunday that we could all go to with our cougs. Ideas are welcome, just keep in mind the price and that not everyone will be over 21.

That is cool, my wife's Birthday is Jan. 10 so she would get in free if you had it while we were down. It would be great if you could have it on Saturday the 5th and then we could leave from the meet and drive home. I won't have my cougar with (I'll bring pics), my wife's suv is more comfy for traveling and keeps the miles off my coug. But I would like to meet with the FL cougars while down since I will be moving down there next year.

Well me and Atomic Internet (Founder of CougarFest ooooh) will be down there the 7th. We'll move me in that day and i have till the 31st when school starts to get setteled. He's staying till the 10th. I'm up for any day but if you wanted to meet up with him, thats his schedule.

Mizza, my friend who's moving with me is going to full sail to study recording arts. It'll be cool to meet before class. Do you start the 31st?

Even though I would like to have as many cars as possible at once, I guess we could do something both weekends so no one is excluded. I will definitely be available for both, and anyone else can come to both also if they are available. On Saturday January 5th, there is a domestic car show here in Orlando. They have this show the first saturday of every month and I usually always go to it because its free, its casual (your car doesn't have to be modified to participate), there are tons of cars there like classics, hot rods, f-bodies, vettes and people always love the cougars because they are so different from the rest of the cars there. I think we would have a lot of fun at this. This car show can be the focal point of the meet for the Jan. 5th weekend and Medieval Times will be the next weekend. Of course we will do a lot more, but we can build on these. Sound good?

By the power of Cougarfest Creator, I deem Jan 6th as the meet weekend!

Hopefully that pulls no weight around here. I'm hoping you guys go for the dual weekend so I can see some FL-NECO people. Last time I was in FL visiting the meet was in Gainesville and I couldn't make it. I'll be down till the 10th so maybe an evening during the week could be an alternative?
