I have a small question. I have a 2000 cougar with sport package. I have an intake and an exhaust. Within the past couple of weeks my car has been idiling roughly. Only when I am at a stop sign or light do I feel the engine. It does not happen with any great regularity. If you could be of any assistance I would much appreciate it.

It could be a billion things but if you put on a different intake you could check the intake manifold for leaks. You can also check the idle air control valve. Its located just behind the egr valve on the back of the upper manifold. Unhook it and check the resistance, it should be between 6 and 13 ohms.

This really belongs in problems.
If that doesn't work, try to reset the EEC by disconnecting the battery. But that sounds like an IAC, MAF or air leak problem.
For a temp fix, you can tighten the screw on the throttle body to make your car idle a little higher.
