Why is my car (ATX) shifting at 5900 now!?

I finally got an exhaust installed the other day, and now my car is shifting at 5900 max during WOT. I did not unhook the battery at all after installation. The car seems maybe even a touch sluggish now, but that could be just from the different shifting. I figured the computer would have re-learned by now, but do I need to unhook the battery for a few just to do a forced reset? I have a straight pipe in place of the resonator and 2 Dynomax mufflers at the rear.

Yes. Unhook your battery for atleast 15 minutes(if not longer) after every mod. I don't know if that is the cause of your problem, but it wouldn't hurt to try.:)
