i run a rim and performance shop. i was looking thru some of my catalog the other day and found this intake for 99-01 cougars. i've never heard of them before and i haven't heard of anyone on the forums talk bout them. the name brand is <u>AKIMOTO</u>. it says that it is a ram air kit. here is a pic attached

Looks like a universal pic to me. I dont think that particular setup would work on the Duratec. I have heard of Racing Sports Akimoto though...How much?
ps: maybe for the Zetec?

I contacted them a few months back, but nobody knew anything ... this was the main office. Someone finally replied to my email about a month later, still about 4 months ago and said that the item wasn't done with R&D. I think that NOPI actually had it on their site for quite a while, or it was Summit, regardless, they go so many canceled orders from customers who had been waiting forever that they dropped the product from their lineup.

oh i know that is now the exact intake in the pic. but it sayes that it is a ram air intake and i'm surpriced that nowone have gotten it because it is a ram air. the price is like 230+shipping thru keystone

Unless the Cougar parts are really different than the picture that you have, I can't see how that would be a ram-air setup. I'd be very hesitant to assume that it was 'ram air' It looks like a regular intake to me.
