hello everybody,
like the title says i have some questions. first, i want to get the street weapon kit but i don't know who i should get it from. i know that i can go to san diego and get it directly from the company and have them install it. but my question is would it be better to get it from james and then have it installed somewhere else. i just want to know what you guys think about this. if you think i should go with james and have it installed somewhere else, can you give me a specific place that will do a good job with it. i live in the san fernando valley (northridge) area. also, my other question is about paint for the kit and for the taillight and the frontlight. where should i get these painted. i know for the covers i can get them painted from carribean customs but i was wondering if i should just buy them unpainted and then find another place that paints them cheaper. however, for the kit i don't know who should paint it. any help and info would be greatly appreciated...thanx!!!

I say just buy the Covers, and have them painted at the same time as the rest of the kit.....I'm sorry, I don't know where to tell you to get it painted, but check my other thread, cause I am actually looking for a place to get mine done too:)

sup, welcome to neco.

ok first off drive down to street weapon and buy the kit there for $750 (make sure u say ur in neco) HAVE THEM INSTALL IT. if u dont have them install it..other shops will charge u big time for the install cuz the side skirts are a pain in the ass!! they installed my street weapon kit and they molded it on the body too...

now for ur head lights and taillights covers i would order the covers ...and then hunt around for a good paint shop....then have all ur stuff painted there.

i would not have street weapon do the paint....there paint boot looks very ****ty....i went there one day and they had some side skirts drying out side laying on two saw horses. hmm not good.

hope that helped some

Welcome LGP. ryan didn't you have a lot of trouble with them doing your install? i thought i remembered you talking about that. O and air drying poaint is far better than baking in a booth provided it is kept out of dust:biggrin:

see i dont know too much about drying paint but there was crap stuck to it. right next door was a wood shop..saw dust was in the air

yes i did have some problems

over all i liked there work .....they were late on when they said it would be done..and they left my windows open the hole 3 weeks they had it!!!!!! so i had to clean ever ounce of my car (inside)

the reason he should have the kit installed is cuz its there kit. they wont charge him for a deformed kit
