Tried putting amber lights in there stock fog light housings? One of my foglights blew out and I think I want to try putting some amber bulbs in there. Anybody got pics of this or know a good online place to order them from. Im looking for 55w H3's.

you can put any color in you want... why would u want amber? hehe to me it is the ugliest color, maybe it would be a good time to replace the bulbs all around with hyperwhites or something.

I want amber bulbs because its different. I know our "fog" lights are actually "driving" lights, which are supposed to be white.. But I mostly use them as fog lights.. Which you will notice are, for the most part, amber in color.

But I believe camaro's and Firebirds have clear driving lights like our cars.. So I dont see where your goin there. Unless you think im trying to put aftermarket foggies on.. Then I see where your goin.. But thats not the case.. Im looking for replacement bulbs for our stock "driving" lights.

To me amber = orange, which is my accent color, (so I am leaving my sidemarkers, removed green turns and backups / replaced w/ orange, calipers are orange) I would also like my foglamps orange too.

He was talking about the marker lights on the Camaro and Firebird I believe...they are down low on the front/side fenders on those cars...the new Beetles have them down pretty low too...I think driving lights are like Daytime Running Lamps, they're on all the time...we don't have those :) But, I put blue in the little marker bulbs inside the headlight assemblies and they look pretty cool...as far as amber foglamps go, I'm not sure where you could find them.

Driving lights are aux. lights that aid your low beams in normal driving. They are usually the same color as your headlights as they are supposed to assist your headlights.

Fog Lights are aux lights that help vision in foggy/rainy weather. They are usually amber in color to help reduce glare to aid driving vision.

Our cougars come with driving lights. They may be called fog lights by the average person.. but in reality and technically they are driving lights. I am not talking about our side markers, little lights in the headlights or in our tail lights.. I am talking about those lights that sit low in our front bumper.

Ive done some research and apperently PIAA is supposed to make the best looking/performing amber like H3 bulb on the market. I know alot of that "best" comes from the price, but you dont make money selling crappy bulbs at high prices for long. So I may have to give them a shot.
