i took a 2000 focus shifter out of my local junkyard and i cut it down alot. with this mess anything up??,, like i hear people talking about linkage and what not , but i m clueless on what this is ?,, i could use all the info i can get ??

I thought the focus shift assembly and the cougat one is the same?? I know B&M has one part number for the focus and the cougar...I could be wrong

yeah its the same i just want to know if having it cut down alot will affect the linkage or what ever

Why would it. It would be like moving your had further down the shifter (pretending it is lower). What is that going to do except help you shift better. I would do it if I could find some knobs that didn't requier threads.
